I wouldn't touch anything from Camerabox with a bargepole. The camera I bought for my son from them was a US grey import and not even CE-marked. Despite them claiming surprise at this, reading on-line comments, I'm far from alone in this experience. Customer service quite shockingly awful (again, plenty of on-line evidence of this too). BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Just curious. What's the difference between European (CE marked) and US camera?

All I can say here is the price may be good but Camerabox well you don't want to deal with them. I placed an order that was "dispatched" then went missing and well two weeks after I'm still fighting them for a refund, their customer services are rude and waste of space. I've asked many times for a consignment note reference but they can't supply, basically they never had the camera and are a scam, like I've already said I'm still waiting for my money back if I get it........

Main difference is one comes with a 3 pin plug for the charger/power cord
You'll struggle to find any difference between the camera's themself's apart from maybe the model name
Any warranty is provided by the company selling it and not by the manufacture

It's a shame about the bad company reviews, because they have the Fuji Finepix S2500 HD version for the same price (£114.99), which looks a good deal.

try googling camerabox and "credit card fraud" :-)

I'd rather pay the extra £5 and a bit and get one direct from fuji

Well - for starters I believe it's illegal to retail non-CE-marked products in Europe, It's basically a certificate of conformity which says the product is safe. Without the CE mark, there's no way of knowing if the product meets these safety standards. And, yes, in practical terms, it means that they throw in a crappy 3-pin adaptor.

I challenged Camerabox as to why my product arrived with the security seal broken. They claimed that it was security checks that they were obliged to perform. Then I found the cheap adaptor in the box and all became clear. They said they would replace the product with a European-sourced model when they came in but, surprise surprise, they never got any more in stock.

Shysters - steer well clear. They should certainly be banned from HUKD

CE marks can be self declared so are pretty worthless.

American UL marks however show safety standards have been met.

I wouldn't buy from them. They sell grey imports which manufacturers will not touch when they need to be repaired. They might well come with 5 years sellers warranty. Just check this company's feedback before you buy.

Not a good price either, got this model a month ago from Amazon for £95 - nice super macro mode, and has 720p hd video too.
