The S2950 sports an impressive 28mm – 504mm* high precision Fujinon optical zoom lens. Simple to operate with an electric powered zoom lever, the huge zoom range means that you can capture all the detail, even when you're at a considerable distance away. You can even operate the zoom during video recording. Unlike a bulky D-SLR, bridge cameras allow you great versatility of zoom, without the hassle of carrying a bag of lenses.

Excellent price.

Been researching these superzoom cameras for a while now. I think I'll still probably go for either the Lumix, Samgsung, or Sony mainly for their more compact design and looks (no escaping that this is an ugly piece of kit), but this is still a bargain for a good camera and the cheapest I've seen anywhere so far, so hot for me.

And keep up the camera deals folks, let me know if any of you see a TZ8 or 10, WB 600/650, or Sony HX5 for sub £150 :)

If you have a broken fujifilm digital camera you can get one of these from fuji for £115.50

I agree with montasura. A travel zoom should be smaller and have at least 24mm lens. I don't see the point of those over-sized Fuji's. Old design.

All I can say here is the price may be good but Camerabox well you don't want to deal with them. I placed an order that was "dispatched" then went missing and well two weeks after I'm still fighting them for a refund, their customer services are rude and waste of space. I've asked many times for a consignment note reference but they can't supply, basically they never had the camera and are a scam, like I've already said I'm still waiting for my money back if I get it........

Before you buy anything from Camerbox google them. Or look at the 3 big threads about them on MSE - unfulfilled orders, grey imports, hard to get a refund, rude staff - lots and lots of complaints.

Please do your homework before risking it. Always pay with a credit card so you can charge back through the cc company.

Been suggested on MSE that they may use peoples cc payments to fund their stock purchases - don't know if that is true, but I would not touch Camerabox with a barge pole. They have other sites that use different names so beware.

You can't do better than going direct to Fujishop and buying a refurb.

I agree, camerabox is a no go area for me, very dodgy..

I've posted it as a deal here

basically if you have a broken fuji camera, just select no to replace rather than repair your camera, enter your details and camera model (or fake ones just to see the prices) and take it from there

Ordered their last offer a week ago and after querying non delivery received the following mail today.

" Camerabox Official Statement
After the loss of key members of staff, Camerabox Limited has been forced to temporarily cease trading. We will temporarily cease to take any new orders and all existing and unfulfilled orders have been cancelled. Refunds take between 2-14 days or alternatively you can contact your card issuer to issue a dispute and chargeback. Thank you for your co-operation and patience in this difficult period.
Kind Regards
Jason McLeish
Online Operations Manager
Camerabox Group "

Just contacted my card company, Camerabox is well known to them.

See the thread on Money Saving Expert. Kwikchex - who had been sorting out Camerabox problems - have issued a statement saying the same. Yet they are still running the website and taking orders.

I would advise people waiting for orders to go to their cc compnay for a chargeback.
