I'm interested in this and have reserved one at my local branch but accoriding to the PC World site, they don;t include eBuyer.

Websites: items sold by Amazon.co.uk*, Argos, Asda, B&Q, Comet, Dabs*, Dell, Evesham Technology*, Game, Gamestation, Halfords, HMV, Jessops, John Lewis, Maplin, Misco*, Play, Staples, Tesco, Toys r Us, Virgin, Woolworths

I've also tried to price match with Ebuyer , never had it yet .

I took a printout of ebuyers price in today.
They took it into the back and checked price and availability online then offered it to me for £99.96. I then asked about the 10% bit. He said well you have to buy it first then get the extra 10% of the difference. I said thats a waste of time. Anyway he just put it through for £96.99.
The list of online retailers they match are for online sales were you have to ring them after the purchase for them to match the price.

Instore they do match ebuyer as I have enquired before.

Thanks for that , I have a PC World 5 mins from me so I'll give it a go .

Excellent, I'll give it a try tomorrow.
Thanks for the info.

I actually reserved the Camera via topcashback and have £3.25 cashback now pending so it may be worth going via TCB

Not sure this will work as PCWorld don't have Ebuyer in the list of websites they price match: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/price-match-promise

If you find a lower price for the same product and offer, we'll reduce our price by 110% of the difference – even up to 7 days after purchase.

This applies to prices offered by retailers within 30 miles of your local PC World store and the UK websites listed below. The competitor must have the item in stock and website prices must include delivery. Single unit purchases only.

To take advantage of our price promise, please telephone our sales team on 0844 561 0000 clearly stating the following details:

1. Your name and delivery postcode
2. The product, price and our product code you are interested in purchasing
3. The name of the Internet site or store offering a better price

Once the price is verified we can process your order immediately over the telephone.

This above is for online purchases only.
In there stores they have boards advertising the price promise without any * or Smallprint.
I was able to buy one today with a print out from ebuyer in store without any problems. They just checked the site for the price and availablility.
If anyone else has success/failure tomorrow then please post your findings.

I've wasted my time more than once trying to get deals and price matches from PCWorld when I've come out empty-handed so, as you rightly say, we need some feedback from a few people tomorrow!

I went in before to collect my camera , was asked for £130 but I then asked for the price match with Ebuyer . Needless to say they wriggled out of it saying that Ebuyer stock is EU stock , NOT UK .

I'm in contact with trading standards over this , will report later on with updates if I get them .

I tried to price match at PC World Lancaster and was told they only price match against the listed websites.
so it sounds like they only price match against selected sites they know they are cheaper than,
surely thats a case of false advertising seeing as they had 2 huge banners up outside saying "WE WILL NOT BE BEATEN ON PRICE" when questioned the salesman showed an instore card with the small print on.
so I shall be ordering from E-Buyer:x
