Ok this is annoying as i bought this camera from the fuji website over 14 days ago for £120

Doing some grocery shopping in Great Barr Asda and saw this camera drastically reduced to £77.00

Was gonna take a picture but my girlfriend moved me away asap - because i apparently "get moody" when i loose out on deals. lol

In my opinion a cracking deal - i love this camera

Very easy to use you get a touchscreen, ASR etc....

Check the Fuji webpage for details.

I could have saved £40 :(:(:(

I hate it when this happens lol

The z300 is reduced from £270 to £135. I checked this yesterday. There was another model which was reduced to £77 but I don't think it was the Z300. Possibly a lower model. Are you sure. To cross examine, the misses did her best to distract, how certain are you ????????
#12
Extremely certain
it said fuji Z300 on the sticker. Clearance from £135. This was also next to the dummy model of the camera.
Definately sure as it made me very sad to see this! :(
#13
there were lesser models such as the Z35 and Z20fd which were more expensive which was a little crazy...
#14
How is it for video recording? I read that the avis use Motion JPEG as opposed to MP4 - i'm guessing even short clips take up a lot of space? Not widescreen either for videos (640x480) which is weird as the screen's widescreen. However the camera looks pretty nice, especially the touchscreen feature to view your photos.

BTW, the button on top is the shooting button right? Weird question i know, but on their website it mentions touching the screen to take pics, just wondering if both ways is possible or that button is something else.
#15
You can either touch the area you want to focus on and take a pic like that or use the button. I usually use the touch as it makes me feel clever. lol. pictures come out really well not used video check my other post for the fuji deal if you cant find this.

:D

Watching this on QVC right now for £186 with 4gb card & case, so if you can get one for this price then very hot. Seems like a nice looking camera & 5 x optical zoom for the money is excellent.
#19
excellent, will pop down in the morning, a point and shoot will sit nicely next to the slr
#20
Anyone know if macro is any good as I am after a digital camera to copy 35mm slides/
#21
Will check out wether the offer is on and give feedback. will vote hot if available.
#22
macro is pretty sweet is has a kind of intelligent auto mode like the panasonics...
if anyone wants to pay £120 i posted a deal a couple weeks ago (the one i rushed and bought) for £120

So check it out £120 is still a good price for this cam
#23
had some at norwich asda yesterday fo£77
#24
WELL I NEVER.

Sorry for questioning this post. I asked if you could double check, you did and I went down to my Local asda and got the last one.

Brill.
#25
One left at Great Bridge store, none at Great Barr.
#26
none left at smithdown road liverpool (not through theft before u lot all jump on the thieving scouser bandwagon!) but they were at £77. apparantly asda are discontinuing them which is why they are at such a great price.

what made me laugh tho was the salesman tried to sell me a different model that was only 3x optical zoom by pointing out that it was as good as a 5x opti zoom if you 'just take a couple of paces forward'.
#27
just got one from asda in Ellesmere Port they are price marked £135 on the display but i asked if he would scan it to check and it came up £77 so got it :) there is still 1 left if anyone else wants one the guy said loads had asked about it but he told them it was £135 cause thats what the label said i was the only one that asked him to scan and check so bonus for me heat added had a little mess with it and it a great little camera cool to press the screen and it takes a piccy :) my daughter is gonna love her birthday pressie now
#28

Well done on that it's not like Asda staff to reserve stuff for anyone.
#31
Hi
Just got this from my local ASDA (Scunthorpe). I was talking to the lady behind the counter about the good price - I didn't ask how many were left but she didn't say they were short.
Aparently it is this price because it is end of line.

just got one from Asda Peterborough, plenty left!!

On the face of it, this camera is AMAZING for the money BUT I have just bought one, and am taking it back:

It doesn't come CLOSE to my 6mp Panasonic lumix point and shoot for image quality in good light, and fares worse by comparison for video and worse still for low light (so much noise even in my flat, lit by energy saving lightbulbs)

I loved the design and the features, but I can easily live without touch screen (is it a novelty) and I think I would sooner by another panasonic (paid about 105 a couple of years back).

The display is a nice idea, but once you have used the scrolling feature on an itouch, the technology actually feels a couple of years too late, even though this was abut $400 6 months ago.

I am gutted this hasn't lived up to my expectation, but Asda have 28 day no quibble warranty which i will be using for the first time now.
#35
Let us know how you got on with the return. The box is opened and used so can you take it back without a fault?
#36
Good find - if only it was as easy to find an Asda with stock near me - after about 10 phone calls found that SOUTHPORT Asda had two - they have only got one left now, heat & rep added, thanks go to the OP
#37
I picked up the last one from Gloucester last night. Awesome little camera; will replace my old Fuji which has done me right for the last few years. Off to Vegas in a couple of weeks so hope it can keep up with me! Also came with 50 free digi prints so will have to buy some picture frames for the first time in my life!! H n R.
