Snap!

Great price, but I've just bought a S100fd direct from Fuji, so I can safely pass on this one.

good price.

Check if dpreview.com has reviewd that. They are the best site for this.
#7
Exactly what I've been looking for and a cracking price! Just ordered one, cheers! ;)

I got the S5700 and the s8000 version and I'm more than happy with the quality of the photos!
#9
it says 10mp in title but 12megapixels in description?

Is this any good from Tesco's http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-7113.aspx

you can buy the S5700 camera factory refurbished from fuji for £79.99
use this code P10MAYDIS20 to get a further 20% off
just bought the s9600 from them with 2 year guarentee, camera looks brand new, and probably is. well pleased

I would rather have the Panasonic TZ4 (about £160) and be able to put it in my pocket.
The IQ is also a lot better, from most reviews, on the TZ4 than this Fuji.
Most won't need the extra zoom the Fuji offers over the Panasonic.

Just my opinion, still a reasonable price for this unit.

bought the S5800 from the fuji shop and it has died after 5 mins use!
#13
This an upgraded version of the s5700 but has face recognition 3.0 for correct exposure and automatic redeye removal. It's £169.99 on play.com so a considerable saving to be made here.

I'm on my 5th 'refurb' camera from Fuji Shop and never had a problem or issue. Annoying, but just send it back, sounds like you've been unlucky.

hi please help can you fit extra lens on this i want to use it at motor sport events does any one know is this ok for that thanks rob
#16
You cant fit extra lenses (as you would an SLR), but the end of the lens is threaded so you can fit the screw in type adaptors - if you check ebay you'll see 2.0x, wide angle and macro type converters. I'm not sure how good the end result would be, but they do tend to be quite cheap so if they're pretty ropey you can always get shot of them for a similar price.

thanks picked up an s5700 from fuji for abour 70 delivered :)

Got mine today but not happy as the flash doesn't automatically pop up like my S5700 does and the camera gives no indication weither the flash is needed or not. Hence i have to manually press the flash pop up button every time i need to take a picture just in case the flash may be needed.Took a few shots yesterday and the camera massively over saturates red and green colours as also reported at Trustedreviews.com. It has also gone through a set of alkalines while testing it this afternoon whereas my S5700 has used 1 set in 6 months!

It has also gone through 2 sets of alkalines while testing it this afternoon...
Hope you used them only for testing. Rechargeables are so much better & cheaper
