Good camera, at a good price.

The Fujifilm FinePix S5700 is for anyone seeking an affordable long-zoom digital camera. The powerful 10x optical zoom lens & 1/2.5" seven megapixel standard CCD imager helps you capture perfect images. Dual media slots (SD/SDHC and xD-Picture Card) give you more storage options, while the 2.5" LCD display helps you capture each image perfectly. Other features include multiple exposure modes, auto & manual focus, 8 white balance modes (including a custom hold mode) and a six-mode popup flash. There's plenty in the Fuji FinePix S5700 to cater to the needs of advanced amateurs looking to gain maximum control over their photos.

Hot, I am going to have a look I think in a bit :)

Good camera at a good price I nearly purchased one of these but decided it's a big motorized lens to have sucking the power out of your battery so I went for the 6500 with manual zoom instead

It was on around 3 -4 weeks ago this and have checked the warrington store for the last 2 weeks in the hope they would be getting more in but no such luck. Sounds like a great camera and got some good reviews from owners on here, great price and obviously some stores still have some or have got some new stock, so will check again tomorrow, thanks for the post, maybe there is still hope!!!

I got the S5800, great camera.

Fantastic camera, although not as small as some it is was small enough to smuggle into a George Michael concert last August :whistling:
Have the big brother to this already and it competes very nicely in quality and functions.
A truly fantastic deal....our third Fuji and cannot speak highly enough about them.
Battery lasts well btw
Do you get the feeling I really rate this camera??

Good price - paid £105 for mine just over a year ago... and as for battery life, have installed rechargeable high capacity batteries in mine and have taken plenty of pictures and only had to recharge them a few times... so unless you constantly take pictures I wouldn't worry about battery life as they last ages. Takes approx 2 seconds from powering on to taking a picture on average for me, then when I've finished I power it off so it's not wasting the battery.
Oh by the way, these DO take SDHC cards, have a Sandisk 8gb micro in mine with no probs.. so can take approx 4000 pics or so on highest setting.

Bought one of these yesterday, price is a little cheaper now due to to the VAT decrease too!!!

Good little camera that will help get me interested in my photography again, digital is so much easier than 35mm film I used on my old camera years ago. Plus better than my Nokia phone too!!!

Nice piece of kit for the price.

It is a VERY good camera at that price! (Have one at work)

It's not an SLR and doesn't match SLR performance but it's still excellent.

Well made and feels robust. Large enough to be easy to use but not so big that it's "too big" iyswim?

Nice spot

I bought one and it's a bargain. Shame about Satan appearing in the background of every picture.

All I know is there were some in the Reading (Calcot) store late this afternoon..
Surely not the only Sainsburys to have some in stock.

Not far from Hampshire... pop up.

Yes it is

You tried portsmouth, how about Farlington? Probably more chance than Commercial Road store.

Had one of these briefly last year, excellent camera for the money, loads of neat options/toys to play with on it, the only reason I got rid of it was the lcd screen was not the best clarity in the world, but at this price its a no brainer,

Picked one of these up from Sainsburys Kidderminster today, £49.99 but down to £48 something with the VAT reduction. Wasn't a display model either, but was the last one I'm afraid dealers. Bit gutted that it was the silver one, but beggars cant be choosers can they now?:)

They did have another Fuji on display for £69, it was a compact camera design but i didn't get a model number or anything i'm afraid. Of note, "3" PAYG dongles for about a tenner, and no £20 hard drives.
