Many thanks. This digicam is amongst the best compacts for available light photography.

Remember, just because it has more pixels, it doesn't mean it takes a better picture. ;-)

a brilliant camera for £79.99. sweet!

and yes contrary to the conventional wisdom more pixels usually means crappier photos. You can only fit so much pixels in these tiny sensors if it has more pixels than it should it would make more harm than good, your photos will have higher noise levels and less dynamic range which are far more important than having high pixel count.

Shame it takes XD, rather than SD - as that is then another format to have to adapt and buy cards for. Also seems about double the cost of SD for the same size.
#10
Good deal. Great camera. I don't think you can find a better point-and-shooter for the price, especially for indoor photography. Ok, it takes XD cards but 1GB is only like 9 GBP nowadays? Voted hot
#11
Thanks. Looks like a good deal. I'm in the market for a new camera at the moment. Does anyone know how big it is? Is it small enough to fit in your pocket?
#12
Excellent price for this! I got the F31FD on a HUKD deal last week for just over £100 and it is superb. Takes photos almost as quick as my 400D (well, not quite, but faster than any other point-and-shoot I've had) and it's low-light performance is amazing. I bought the 8mp Vivitar a few weeks earlier and it's going on eBay because, apart from the mediocre pictures, it took about 2 seconds to focus, by which time whatever you were shooting had got bored and left!

I'm not sure how much of the spec the F20 shares with the F31FD, but I'm sure it's still a fantastic camera and better than any of the dodgy brands.

amazing price this!!

very very good camera!

great camera great price...anyone wanting a camera in this price range cannot go wrong with this.
#16
Thanks OP. Gone for this for my daughter. I have the F30 which is excellent. This seems to be very similar. Great to have a Lithium Ion battery instead of AA/AAA's. Best to pick up a 1gb XD card also. Can be found for £10.99 online last I looked

FujifilmF20 LE 6MP.

Anyone know what the 'LE' signifies?

Are there two differently spec'd versions of this camera? I bought one for mum a few weeks ago, and there's no mention of' LE'.

Any ideas?

Is your Mums camera a Silver colour? I wonder if the LE stands for Limited Edition - because it's a Charcoal and Silver colour. Not just silver?

Incredible isn't it....some people are Marketing peoples dreams...:giggle:

The Fuji is a Rolls Royce against what looks like a clapped out old Ford Escort from Aldi

At this price this is an awesome deal - wonderful camera for indoor photography and none too shabby outside either !

Hi,
Bought one of these cameras, thanks for the tip off.
Does anybody know of a good deal on a decent 1 gb xd card?
Thanks
#23
Picked one of these up the other day for £99.99, fantastic camera.

Does anybody know if Argos will refund the difference if they drop the price (such as Amazon do) of a product?

Thanks :)

I'd like to say thanks for this tip off again. I bought one of these for £79.99 yesterday from Argos and I'm very pleased with it so far. You'll need to buy a memory card as it only comes with a small internal memory so I've bought a 2GB xD card for £18.98 @ PicStop which also seems like a 'hot' deal to me.
