FujiFilm F30 Digital Camera £119+p&p New £125.00

This camera is rare as hen's teeth at the moment due to its legendary low-light photography performance (better than a £250 Canon, apparently it has 95% of the quality of a Digital SLR). It outperforms all the Fuji replacement models (F40-F50) and takes absolutely fabulous pictures. They go for silly money on fleabay.

These have been cheaper in the past, but are very difficult to find. Although for sale from the Fuji refurb shop, these are new cameras!

Limited stock, so they'll probably sell out today. I just bagged two for myself.

It's a cracking camera this. Had one when I went to America and took some 400 pics with it. Sold it a while back to get a TZ3. The low light pics are excellent.

A great camera. I have discussed this camera before. The best ever compact for low light conditions and indoor shots

A hot hot buy because it's so difficult to find

anyone have any promo codes for the fuji shop. there were some flying aroung but they've expired.

This is a fantastic camera. Although I had this, and the F20 - and there was very little difference between the two. The F20 refurb is on the site for £79.99, or the F40 refurb for £89.99. So if you don't mind a refurbished model - they would be your better option

been looking on ebay for one of these for taking photos on a night out as it's so good at lowlight photos, but even secondhand ones were going for about #200. So I vote hot for this with rep even though price needs amending on it as it looks like they've now jacked the price up to #149.95 + #5 delivery

jimmymac87 is quite right as far as we could see before buying the f20 for a Christmas present.
All the reviews put little difference between the f20 and the f30 considering price etc.

I would have no hesitation in getting the refurb one as I've never heard a bad word about Fuji refurbs yet.
£79.99 is a bargain for this camera. I was also under the impression you could up the warranty on this camera for a quite small charge but I can't find the link now. May well be worth asking if you are considering buying for better peace of mind :)

How do the two compare? I'm thinking of getting a TZ3.

Anyone know if this will fit in the F10's underwater housing?, if so I might treat myself, as the F10's a cracking little camera, so this should be even better.

Doesn't look like it but have a read through this page:

I know the F30 & F20 have a superb reputation, but if I were to buy one, then alas everytime i used it....people would almost certainly point & laugh at me in the street.

It looks like it was designed by a Russian who hankers back to the days of 'Praktika styling' when Nadia Comaneci reigned supreme in the Gymnastics world....

Fuji F20/F30 production assembly line .....?

http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/9002/fujifactoryfx6.jpg

;-) ;-)

Russian 'brick' styling aside, it uses XD cards & has no face recognition (the latter which IMHO is more useful for speedy reviewing than for actually taking the picture) so it's in the 'walk on by' category.

Vain? Almost certainly ....but it's a bit like having the best performing car in Town with the styling of a Fiat Multipla! Useful if you want your kids to keep their distance.

I'd recommend the F20 - it has the same image processor as the F30, i believe it doesn't have manual priority controls.

Dude, you utterly do not understand this camera. It is great for taking night photos!!

No one can see it when it's dark! :-D

Yeah, they've gone up a fair bit - someone obviously noticed! They are still cheaper than fleabay though, but not quite so hot a deal. Mine were dispatched earlier.

I don't think it will - there's a separate housing for the F30/F31 which is available (it costs £100). I wouldn't bother getting the housing separately. If you hunt around online shops, you can get an F31fd (better version of the F30) with an underwater dive kit and gig xD card for £250ish.

Which you could argue with these cameras having such small sensors, having manual controls doesn't offer a lot any way!

Could you point me to such a website please?

PS Great spot & I'm well miffed that I missed the original deal (esp having slavishly checked ebay/forums/fuji for a s/h specimen)...I'd have put the saving to a false moustache & shades & gone for one!

Definitely hard pushed to find that price for genuine Fuji.

Could possibly do it with a refurb Fuji Camera from the Fuji shop but they're O/O/S at the moment.

I like my zoom otherwise would have gone for this...

I bought the refurb F20. Damn me and my impulse camera buying - Ive never gotten a good one yet :(

Hopefully this one will break the trend.

(Was £85 or so delivered 1st class)

This looks to be the cheapest underwater deal around at the moment with the F31d. £269.99 brand new, including delivery from a UK shop http://www.underwaterworld.co.uk/acatalog/Fuji_F31_Camera_.html
