The FinePix F31fd sees the launch of Fujifilm's first pocketable digital camera to feature Face Detection, a new technology that automatically enables it to identify faces, optimize settings and capture an image within just 0.05 seconds. Coping with up to ten faces in a frame, it ensures that important group shots are in focus and perfectly exposed, providing the best results possible in any shooting condition. Coupled with Fujifilms acclaimed Real Photo Processor II and Intelligent Flash, this model offers a remarkable level of performance, and really is the ultimate compact for people photography.

This is online via the Fuji Film Refurb Shop, using 15% off voucher. On top of the £92.90 camera (with 15% off) I added an 512mb XD Card for £9.99 and a bendable tripod for £1.99 - both of which 15% has been taken off. That is then with the £5.49 delivery charge.

Camera with no accessories is £92.90 delivered.

Great camera, got one for my daughter a few months back. She's taken it to gig's with very poor light and got some amazing shots, it even shoot video in low light but the sound (for bands etc) isn't up to much, the built in mic isn't up to it.
Voted hot (shame it's now out of stock !!)

I think someone posted this at about £117 recently? Personally I would pay the extra for a new one...

Ordered one of these last night and got the dispatch message this morning. Sounds like a great camera for the price. Just got the camera on its own at £92

It used to be at Amazon, and the F20 was an even better price.

They have bumped it up now though...

Didn't receive my despatch till about an hour ago, but it's on it's way. Looking forward to seeing how good a refurb it is.

Got my son a refurb Fuji camera. Like a new one but in a plain box with a sticker sealing the flap saying REFURBISHED CAMERA. So not good for presents if the recipients expect new stuff.

Arrived this morning.

Camera is as new ... apart from a knock on the top of the camera. I'd take a picture, but I can't really take a picture of the camera that's taking the picture. Ahem.

Came in a special Fuji "Manufacturer Refurbished Camera 6 months warranty box" but looks professional.

Everything sealed as new too.

Yet the F20 is still over £150 on Amazon. Hmmm.

Anyway, all sorted! Woo! Now need to find a case (the reason I would have ordered from Amazon if close to the same price).

Cheap case suggestions?

Take a look at 7dayshop.com, some cheap cases there.

As per another thread somewhere I posted, Argos don't actually have ANY in stock anywhere.

I rang them up and asked them to search. It's an old listing that should have been taken off the website weeks ago.

Can't rate the F31FD highly enough, brilliant camera. Instant response, incredible battery life, excellent low-light shooting. Even the video capture is as good as a dedicated video camera. I took some video at a concert recently and converted it to a DVD and it looked and sounded excellent. Buy Buy Buy!!!!

sorry about the argos option, you can get the F20 from Fuji referb for £72.22 + postage using the 15% discount code.

Personally (and it is just me!) I would never buy a refurb model, just so as to save a few pounds.

One buyer even said that his had a 'knock' on the top of the camera!

If you buy from (say) Amazon they will send you an instant replacement if it fails within the guarantee period, which I believe is 12 months (rather than 6 anyway).

Others may feel differently however... or as the say 'Stateside' YMMV!

If it was just a few pounds, then I wouldn't buy refurb I'd buy new.

But, for the amount I've saved I'm quite buying a refurb model.
