This is a very good camera, shame it uses proprietor batteries only (no AA).

I'm quite a snob when it comes to camera's preferring Canon/Nikon/Sony/Panasonic, ie camera's with nice lenses which is far more important than noise creating high MP camera's.

I'd rather pay £200 for a 7MP camera with great low noise low MP sensor than a 15mp (coming out this christmas) £300 camera with images with more noise, as the megapixels goes up, the lower the picture quality until manufactures start to increase the sensor size, which they have not.

I agree, I have a panasonic DSC- FX12, 7MP camera, great little camera, but I also had a fujifilm F40fd, and it produce fantastic pictures, unfortunately I sold it, and have been hankering after a fujifilm camera since.

I suppose Iam still mulling over the idea of buying this camera........tempted.....but not sure.

Thanks for the picture....for some reason couldnt get the image loaded..cheers andy.

Its not just about megapixels, wish they would stop this stupid megapixel race, but while most consumers dont have a clue then it will continue i guess.

Fuji F-series cameras have better low noise/ low light performance than of all the named above (Canon/Nikon/Sony/Panasonic). Especially Panasonic cameras suffer from high noise, even at 80/100 ASA. Fuji F-series cameras (F10/20/30/40/45/50/60/100/200) are good for 1600 ASA enlargements.

There is one exception, the Panasonic L8 or L10 have good low light performance AND use AA batteries. If I wanted a small camera myself, this is the one I would go for (L10 £119 from amazon)

You can get this from Jessops for £119.99 with FREE delivery, or can collect from the store.

I bought one from Stockports store on Sunday.

Cracking little camera, wipes the floor with the Samsung L210 we have just replaced, far too much noise on the pictures on the Samsung regardless of how you set it up.

No problem like this on the Samsung.

Also forgot to put 4% quidco (excluding VAT) from Jessops too.

While I quite agree with you on the great "Megapixel" race cant agree with you on "makes with nice lenses" I've had 3 or 4 Fujifilm's now and I find them more than a match for most of the brand names you've quoted. Going back to the "Megapixel" debate even 4-5 Megapixels is still probably overkill for the average punter, but I hear you cry "what if I want to blow up a specific part of a picture" here's an idea, learn how to take a photo of your subject correctly and you wont need a 15mp camera to take a decent picture:thumbsup: I also cant see the point of buying a high mp camera that still has only a 3x - 4x optical zoom, less mp's more optical zoom would benefit the average punter

Shows how out of touch you really are - the 'average punter' as you put it takes snapshots, at parties, at the beach etc.sometimes after a few drinks. They want to point and shoot and sort any errors out next day or after the holiday by cropping or using other fixes.
If I take a picture of the kids at a party, I often have to crop out kids looking the wrong way or stray hands or just crop down to the one kid who is smiling with their eyes open. Same at a party - if someone is pulling a funny face or messing about, I don't have time to shout 'can you just hold that pose whilst I zoom in'. So to me and a large proportion of other people megapixels may not be the only consideration, but they do count.

I'm adding camera snobs to the list - along with cycle snobs and TV snobs of people who should wear 'you don't want that one' T-shirts.

I have you at the top of my my "knobs who make snob lists", now you'd better run along back to your cropping.

Ok so the item can be found in Jessops for £119, free delivery to 'mainland', but not to us mortals who live in Northern Ireland, which if u dont know, is also in the uk, to post to Northern Ireland, it would have totalled, £131.99.......so this was a good price.....yes it can also be collected instore for £119.......this being the case why all the negative feedback.........why not simply, amend the title, if u found it cheaper.

By the way .....here is a positive review........tsk !

Yeah...free delivery to "mainland"....NOT to elsewhere in the UK......for us other mortals who are not on the so called "mainland", but live in the UK......companies slap on an extra £15-£18
