Thanks millarcat. Apologies I think I omitted the price from the heading, thanks for adding.

This is a real bargain at the price and a quality product as well,

Fuji provide a "Super Warranty" on this camera for just £10 for an extra 2 years. That's peace of mind until 2013 !!

My daughter had this camera. It's a very nice camera for taking shots but be aware that the battery compartment cover is not strongly built. A small piece of plastic broke off it within 6 months so that the battery door would no longer close. (and this was with slight use) The camera was purchased from Argos and my daughter thought they would repair or replace it. Wrong! ...Argos sent it away for inspection and claimed that it was user damage and not a fault with the camera, she argued the point but Argos would not back down. So she was stuck with a camera that had to be held together with black tape. She would never buy another Fujifilm camera again. I hope Amazon have a better after sales service.

With respect you should have gone straight to Fuji.Co.UK and I'm fairly certain they would have repaired it under warranty.

Thanks.......She bought a Kodak to replace it in the end, unfortunately Fujifilm camera out of warranty now.

Bought one for nephew last year from Argos for same price with a £10 free voucher. Camera now discontinued (??) but available as a refurb on Fuji site). My nephew broke his and Fuji wouldn't repair under warranty as they judged it to be damaged by customer (which was probably fair tbh), but it isn't robust and probably not a great purchase for a younger kid. About the right price for what it is imo, but a very good deal with the extra 2-year warranty for £10 if being used by a careful owner.

Not quite sure why you'd want to pay just £1.81 less for a refurbished product which could possibly have cosmetic blemishes and also comes in a plain box (not good for resell) but then each to their own.

Thanks for the info liddle and look after those pennies, eh :)

Pretty sure this was on offer instore at Sainsbury's recently, not sure about the price though, quite similar iirc. It's a bit cheap looking but probably will do the job.

This is £39.99 at Best Buy as well but you also get 10% Quidco there as well thus making at £36.

PMSL yeah a box is going to make a huge difference to the resale value of a camera bought for under £40

Finally worked out how to get the free case. You need to use the link to the special offer page and not just add the camera to the basket from the HUKD 'go to deal' link. You will know you are on the right page as it will show thumbnails off all available cameras in the offer as well as the case as the first image. Just use the tick box next to each of the images and click on add to basket.

Not sure if my messing about on the site to figure out how this worked caused an issue but the discount applied to my order was £19.98, so the final cost was £30. It could have been because of the extra £10 discount for applying for an Amazon credit card but im sure I didnt pick that option. I will soon find out either way.

How do you get the £10 Warranty? Is it a form to fill out in the camera box or an online form when I have the camera serial number?

Looked at this again. The camera case on offer is being charged at £10 rather than £5ish, as mentioned earlier in this post. The discount is coming up as £19.98 when any of the cameras on the list are coupled with the £10 case. As the case is not available until the 20th I hope they will still ship at this price and not just cancel the order.

I thought the same, it isn't discounted until the very last page prior to confirmation.

FWIW: The price of the freebie case has increased from £5.45 to £9.99 hence the increased deduction at the checkout. The extra £10 glitch is welcomed if they honour it.

The deduction at check out is coming up as £19.98 not £9.99. Do you think this is an error or part of the promotion?

It's meant to be a free case promotion as far as I can tell and as such I'd expect just the £9.99 deduction. Anyhow, good luck & well spotted.

I bought this for my 9 year old from Curry's earlier this year and she dropped it, as kids tend to do. It smashed into pieces, unlike most of the cameras we've had, which have been fairly robust. Luckily I'd taken out a replacement insurance and Curry's just swapped it over for me. You get a replacement for the same value as the original purchase, so it's only £50 worth, which means you'll get a cheaper product, 9 times out of 10, but it was SO worth it for us this time. And the camera is great. Though my house is being totally overrun by images of bunny rabbits and hamsters :)

Thank goodness you didn't go for your refurbished deal Liddle ! Hopefully nobody else did either.

The free case price glitch seems to include ALL the cameras in the promotion so if the Fuji is not for you it may be worth looking at the others on the offer page. LINK
