Great Portraits
Fujifilms software based Face Detection instantly recognises the faces in the frame, and automatically optimises the focus and exposure for up to 6 faces at one time.

In addition, Selectable red eye removal detects and compensates for red eye in each face detected resulting in flattering flash portraits and party pictures.

Superior Low Light Sensitivity
The FinePix J110w is capable of achieving an ISO 3200 at 3 megapixels (ISO 1600 at full resolution), allowing you to shoot without flash in a number of situations; resulting in natural looking images that preserve the mood of the actual scene as the eye sees it. In addition, when the camera's Anti Blur system is employed, the ISO setting and associated shutter speed are automatically adjusted to minimise camera shake.

Ease of use
The camera is preset with an extensive selection of scene modes which make it ready to shoot anything from nightscapes, to portraits - in an instant. These include 'beach', 'party' and 'fireworks' for optimum photography, no matter what the event. There's even a 'Baby' mode to ensure those all important pictures of baby's first years look spot-on, with skin tones faithfully reproduced.

Simply select a Scene Position that suits your situation and the FinePix J110w automatically selects the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to ensure that you get the most of your photography; more stunning pictures, less hassle.

Movie Mode
When a still image isn't sufficient, the FinePix J110w movie mode, at 30 frames per second, captures movie clips with sound that are limited in length only by the size of memory card used.

"Slideshow" on playback
The FinePix J110w features a multitude of options for sharing images once they've been taken, enabling you to share your precious moments again and again with Fujifilms new in-camera ‘Slideshow’ function, which displays images one-by-one

Nice Camera, shame it doesn't use the SuperCCD the Finepix F series uses, hot though.

Millarcat, you're wubbly an all, but are you a Jessops rep? :)

Thanks Stop it :)

No i'm not a Jessops rep ( I am a mod on HUKD though :giggle:) ....

Just quite like Jessops sometimes and find that their specials offers combined with 10% Off discount give some really competitive prices ....

Researching into Fujifilm cameras indicates they have poor relability...mine lasted barely 6 months and Fujifilm UK refuses to repair it...I'm still arguing with them about it grrrrr!

I was only playing with you (And I figured that custom title = admin status :P), and yes, some of Jessops deals do raise an eyebrow, their standard prices are daylight robbery yet their special offers are some of the best in the biz!

Anyway, I hope this time you find some decent DSLR deals this time next year, I bought a bridge camera this year (The S8000fd) and love it and have dcided that I will give it 12 months before an upgrade! :P

What camera is it and why are they refusing to repair it? As Fujifilm UK are in Bedford I can literally bring the camera to them if mine has an issue but I have heard that their service was pretty good anyway, so it's saddening to see you struggling with them.

This might sound a daft question but can you get point'n'shoots that save in RAW? Thinking of getting one for me partner for Christmas but she does a lot of photo manipulation..

Um, the High end ones do, The Canon powershot G series (The G9 and G10 are ace) and the brilliant Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 do RAW shooting. They are also £300, so require a degree of committment to photography to shed that sort of cash.

Just been down to Jessops and had a play with the camera. Feels very plastic and cheap. Can do better for the money IMO.
