An OK camera at a price which could buy you something really good. Absolutely not a hot deal in my view.

That 2.7" LCD destroys this deal for me.

Good price for a camera that gets good reviews, It was reviewed at £150 and got 4.5 out of 5 for value for money

Will Besford come back and tell us where he can get "a really good camera" for that price

And whats wrong with the 2.7 LCD Phil?

This website is always full of negative comments for no good reason

Mixed reviews on Amazon.
Anyone on here own it?
Sounds good on paper for the price.

Otherwise you're looking at a lot more for a Panasonic TZ series (i'm after a decent compact point and shoot, with a decent optical zoom)

voted hot but at this price I would pay the little extra and get the TZ7 which performs superbly with everythnig thrown at it.

good camera ,but I find it uses up batteries very quickly and am always recharging them which is not so good if on holiday etc.

Sorry, confused it with another Fuji - missed the 10x zoom. Comment withdrawn. Sincere apologies to OP and others. Ignorant comments on here annoy me too!

Spec does look good though I'd want to be sure that the unnecessary 14mp sensor hasn't introduced too much noise. 2 out of 5 Amazon customer reviews are poor..

However I would also look at Panasonic. I have bought both a TZ65 and a ZX1 for £149.95 each this year as outgoing models and they get superb reviews. The latest models (TZ8 and TZ10) are falling in price too.

No doubt the TZ7 is a better camera but the cheapest I have seen it available lately is around £170. the above camera is £127 or about 35% more expensive !!!!

I think teh canon powershot 210 is better than both but whats the point in posting that as it costs just over £200 you could go on and on
#16
how does this rate against the fuji jx530 which is £99.99 in argos

true but a good deal isnt just about price. its about the quality of the product and the tz7 is at least 35% better than this camera.

i disagree about the canon....pop up flash and poor low light performance let that down.

Not sure why this is so hot. It's their budget model.

You can get the F200EXR and F70EXR for £113 (refurbished) at the Fuji shop. You can also get the newer F80EXR for £136.

https://secure.fujifilm.co.uk/shop/consumer/digital/digital-cameras/view-all

These are far better cameras.

I got this from the fuji shop for £65 but wish I spent the extra for F80EXR
