I think Fuji got it wrong with their S1500 and S2000. Hopefully the next generation will be lower megapixels and better low light performance.

These come up regularly at around this price but they're good value nonetheless.

Its a bargain price for what it is. You would have to spend £180+ for something better than this.

personally i think the fugifilm s1000fd is much better than this :-)

Never saw the point of these other than to make people think you've got a DSLR.

If you want a pointy shooty camera, get a compact. If you want a DSLR then get one.

Don't worry OP, this guy slates every camera deal on here regardless, he got owned in a post for an olympus e600 recently.

The point of bridge cameras is to get a few more features than a compact, and better zoom than standard SLR kit lens.

Of course a compact will be more compact and an SLR have be better quality but for a lot of people these make sense.

Great price for a good bridge camera, as the total price for a refurbed one from the Fuji site is £110.98 inc. delivery

If this isn't a DSLR? then why is it under the DSLR category on their site? https://secure.fujifilm.co.uk/shop/consumer/digital/digital-cameras/d-slr-long-zoom/finepix-s1500

I'm after a decent camera around the £100ish mark to take away with me for a big trip to Australia/NZ in March. How does this compare

Another thing I'm worried about is the battery issue - do they last long or am I going to continually be replacing them? Any other camera recommendations?

Ooh, I've just seen the code for the refurbished one, I'm tempted now!

Can anyone tell me what a refurbished camera quality is like from Fujifilm. Does it come with the box, manual and accessories. I know the warranty is only 6 months.

awesome, i'm waiting for the s2000hd to drop in price personally which should be soon hopefully with the newer s2500hd soon to be released!

This isn't exactly a hot deal anymore as it's been £114.99 for a long time now. It went up by a few quid following the VAT rise, and has now dropped again.

I'm going to hold out until the updated range of Fuji bridge cams come out in late March/early April.

Can anyone give me advice on this, if I get the refurbised one at £104 is there anything else comparable to this for around the same price. Thanks

Worth paying a tenner more for the full year gaurantee-spec wise probably not much competition at this price. I would buy it but would probably go for the next model up-not sure about amazon.
