Not bad at all - only £6 more than a Fuji refurb. :)

I'd suggest investing in the Fuji super warranty - £29.50 for an additional 2 years of cover and accidental damage cover for the three years. Plus within the first year if decide you don't want the cover after all and you haven't claimed for an accident you can get a full refund.

[Edit: I say that having dropped my Fuji s8000 just weeks after deciding I didn't need to extend the super warranty]

This is known as a bridge camera. Somewhere between a compact and a dslr. Dslrs have changeable lenses amongst other things

I'd suggest anyone planning on buying check out some youtube videos recorded with the camera.
A lot of the finepix range have really poor audio in videos.

Ah but is it, the lens, £50 better?

because if it is a significant difference then i'll not bother thinking more about this cam

it just so confusing at this £150 price point

Got this at the time as a christmas present for our eldest daughter (15) , great price and she loves it.
