This seems to be the cheapest i5-2450M laptop with 6GM RAM and HDMI online at the moment - can't seem to find cheaper than this anywhere. I think this deal deserves more heat.

The link above provided by "jarekmalyszek" is for a i5-2410 processor (slightly slower) with no HDMI and is subject to cashback. Saying that the same laptop is available for £379.99 without any cashback headaches. See link below for a deal I posted few day ago:

Great deal, I've been looking for a while for this spec Laptop(i5-2450,6GB Ram and 750GB HDD) but this is the cheapest.

Ordered yesterday at 17.15 and arrived today which is pretty good service IMHO. Quidco tracked at £25 which is a bonus.

Can't understand the cold votes as I couldn't find anything for this price that wasn't a refurb or on ebay.

    Thanks OP

Any feedback on the laptop? What's the screen quality like? Is it speedy? Anything you are disappointed with?

    Thanks

Laptop is very good, feels very well built compared to some brands I've looked at. It's the second Fujitsu I've had and if it's as good as the last one then I will be more than happy. Nothing dissapointing so far.

    To "Laptophelp"

The HP on Ebay has the same main specs (processor, HDD, RAM, display) with the Fujitsu & better price. HOWEVER, the HP is a "refurbished" laptop, and if you scroll down on the Ebay listing you will see the definition. "Manufacturer refurbished: An item that has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer-approved vendor. This means the product has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to meet manufacturer specifications and is in excellent condition. This item may or may not be in its original packaging. See the seller’s listing for full".

I personally prefer to buy brand new items, in their original packaging, unopened. But it's up to you in the end...

About Quidco, you register your details with the site, and then you have to click through their website before you visit the Staples (or others) website to make any purchase (tip: delete your browser history, including the cookies, before you visit the quidco website). Quidco keeps the first £5 from your cashback earnings every calendar year. Check their website for more details. You may also want to check "topcashback.co.uk", which works in a similar way.

UPDATE: Topcashback pays 7.07% cashback on online purchases from Staples and it doesn't charge any fees.

Why isn't this deal getting hotter? It seems to be a good laptop at a resonable price!?

This seems like a really good deal!

What does everyone think about Fujitsu as a brand?

I know they manufacture in Japan which in my opinion is better than being manufactured in China, what do you think?

Will this laptop be good enough to use for general business use and to make websites?

Also can this laptop be used to play games?

Do you think it will be outdated in 5 years or will it still have a decent spec?

    21 questions (8)

    HELP ME OUT GUYS :)

Ps does this have a Ethernet port? If not then is this a reason not to buy?

PTBARNSLEY - How is this laptop going for you?

    Thanks all :D

Fujitsu is a decent brand. I wouldn't bet that it is manufactured in Japan though...
Although I'm not an expert with PC games, with an i5 you should be able to play most PC games currently on the market (without an extra graphics card).
Of course, any laptop that you buy today will be outdated in 5 years time. For example, you won't be able to play the latest PC game. Noone can really predict the advances in technology.

Of course it has an Ethernet port... All laptops have.

I think as well as the usual spec to look out for, I also look at the battery life. The Fujitsu has 7 hours but the HP only has 4.5 hours. Also all computers all date after a while, like all things. But as long as there are room for upgrades and changable drives, it should long for sometime.

I bought my Fujitsu notebook A531 over a month ago now from Staples and I love it! excellent spec, very light and brilliant for gaming, I play Skyrim on it excellent! the charge is excellent to, it generally last around five and half hours unplugged. Great bit of kit, well worth the money
