Very poor processing power. May struggle to do things like watch iPlayer on this, full screen. For web surfing fine.

Oh ok. I have a Fujitsu celeron 1.7, 15" screen, and it will only cope with BBc iplayer on small screen, not full.

The T3000 is based off a Core 2 Duo. That is going to be more than powerful enough to watch iPlayer on, no problem at all.

EDIT - Do you have the older Celeron (i.e. the ones based off the older Pentium / Pentium M) or Celeron M? They were crap. But the newer T-series are actually quite good.

Seems hot to me. Not the best specs but where else can you get an 18.4" laptop for this price? Might suit someone.

Not entirely convinced of any need for a screen bigger than 17" for a portable device given that it will further contribute to a reduced automonous battery life. Then again, there seems to be an inexplicable rise in the number of laptops that never go beyond 3m away from a power socket in a home environment. (Seemingly due to a preparedness to forgo most of the upgrade options accessible to desktop systems with an inherently longer lifespan)

Ah ok, my mistake. Core 2 Duo is another matter. Didnt get that from the description.
Fujitsu seems like a good make. Mine's a real workhorse - but has a terribly noisy blowy fan. Never any problems apart from that!

Have you tried to clean your fan out, all the Fujitsus I've had I have needed to open the bottom up and remove all the fluff that has built up over time. Try hoovering the vents to see if that helps

Don't think it's really 'inexplicable'. Some people just prefer to put a laptop in a cupboard and just grab it for a short while and then put it away again. Not me personally but my best friends wife goes mental if there is even one wire dangling around!

why is this cold? seems great price for massive screen. That size screen is usually well over £500

Thanks, but it's always had a blowy fan, right from 'new'. Design fault I think. Since bought a better one, but use the Fujitsu just for downloading now - when I am in another room! X)

Good deal if you need a massive screen and you're not going to do anything too demanding on it. Heat added. Went up to minus 11!

Except for the screen, I do not see anything of good value here... at this price one can get an i3 with 3GB RAM and 320GB HDD - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Notebook-i3-380M-Processor-DVD-Super/dp/tech-data/B004VE71N0/ref=de_a_smtd
