I REALISE THAT SOMEONE POST A DELL MACHINE WITH I7 CPU FOR ONLY 20 POUNDS MORE. BUT CALM DOWN PEOPLE! ThE DELL deal is not as good as you thought!

This DELL one has a better CPU than the Fujitsu one I posted, I admit this. But that's all. Take this CPU as 100pounds benefit.

The Fujitsu has BLUE RAY, bigger RAM, bigger HARD DRIVE, plus around 30 pounds cheaper!

We take blue ray as 50 pounds benifit, RAM as 10 pounds benifit, hard drive as 30 pounds benifit, PLUS THE 30 POUNDS CHEAPER BENEFIT, in total you get around 120pounds benefit.

LET'S ALSO COUNT THE DELIVERY. WITH DELL, THE DELIVERY SPEED IS LIKE SNAIL AND YOU COULD WAIT LIKE A MONTH. WITH MISCO 1-3 WORKING DAYS DELIVERY YOU CAN GET THE FUJITSU IN 3 DAYS FOR SURE.
IS IT CLEAR NOW?

Why Cold? It's 4 Core Cpu Not Atom Or 2 Core...
COMPARED TO PREVIOUS DEAL YES IT'S ABOUT 20POUNDS MORE, BUT THE GRAPHICS CARD IS MORE POWERFUL TOO.

A very good deal if you want a desktop - but remember you can get a laptop with similar specifications for just 80 quid more!

No, the graphics card is about five times LESS powerful. The previous one had £80 worth of 4850, this has £35-40 worth of GT220.

If you're looking for an alternative or can get Windows cheap ebuyer are doing a quad core with a 5750 but no OS for £400: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/189241

@Kaje: Can you provide a link? A laptop with an i7-720QM Quad-core an a 1TB drive, blu-ray and discrete graphics card for £500 is a great deal.

cold as you get better computers with better specs and a lower price

Break a USB port on a Fujitsu-Siemens product and your warranty becomes null and void straight away, even if the unit fails 6 months after the fact with a fault completely unrelated to it.

I had a black ceramic divider strip fall out of my £500 blu-ray laptop. When it stopped working a few months later, well within the 1 year warranty period, they refused to repair it stating that I had damaged the unit. A local I.T. shop told me that the gpu on the motherboard had failed, nothing to do with a missing divider strip. Comet, whom I had bought it from, also told me to sling my hook.

Never buy anything from these morons.

Could you please provide some links to these as I am after a couple myself.

The graphics card on this is supposedly equivalent to a geforce 9500 gt.
The previous Fujitsu deal was slightly cheaper and had a better graphics card. Sadly that is no longer available, which makes this a pretty good deal IMO.
#8
not a bad deal but I'd think you'd be better of with an i7 for quad core, otherwise if you don't need a the quad-core advantages, stick with a newer i5.

Exactly. I can never understand such a sweeping statement without anything to back it up.

Im looking at a new PC with 23" Monitor for 550 ish pounds. Would this be my best bet or something else?

Ive checked dells, but stuck with intergrated gfx card there
#11
The Dell deal on the front page is PROBABLY a better deal right now.

This is the exact same machine as the Pi3635 that got massive heat, other than a slightly lesser graphics card (not sure if its 5 times lesser, will have to take your word for that).

Its a good deal - perhaps not as fantastic as the other FS at Misco, but worth some heat.

Better bang for your buck going for the Dell and upping the GFX for a total of around £500 though.

Going to have to vote cold on this one, bought a similar model about 3 months ago and the keyboard is terrible. Keys just kept failing. Started with the N then the P then R and finally O thus rendering it useless within 1 week. The unit itself can only stand upright so will not fit under a bed.

To be fair, generally speaking, for the target audience of this PC most wouldnt use a stock keyboard in any event.

If they did, its only a £5 item, not really a reason to slate the PC in its entirety.

To them saying its nothing to get excited about - I agree to an extent, but effectively the same machine at only £15 less got MASSIVE heat only 4 weeks ago.
The difference between this and most other deals is the blu ray drive.

I'm sitting typing this on my 3635 and its a fantastic machine for the price.

The grahics on this is a Nvidia GT120 which is a lower spec oem version of a GT220. It has half the bandwidth, slower core and only ddr2 memory. Does have Cuda and will play blueray no problem.

The Dell one gets a better cpu, graphics card performance is actually the same as the machine in this post.

This one's got blue ray, bigger RAM, bigger hard drive, plus about 30 pounds cheaper.

The Dell is £15.87 cheaper if your comparing cashback inclusive prices.

The Dell also has Windows 7 Professional as opposed to Vista in this.

Grant you that this does have Blue-Ray drive

I think anything bought with Vista is entitled to a free upgrade to the equivalent version of Windows 7 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Though havign said that this probably isn't bundled with Vista Pro.

The Microsoft Windows 7 "free" upgrade option ended on 31st January 2010.

Mate, the dells got DDR3 Ram so your future proofed there, its also an i7-860 which retails at around £200 alone! If your in the market for a pc then i dont understand how this would stand a chance against the dell, its better in every aspect. Okay so its GPU isnt as good, well if your a serious gamer, this is no good either. The hard drive arguement, well how much is a new 1tb hdd going to cost you if you actually need it! The way you should look at it, is in a year or so's time the dell will still be a decent pc due to its processor.
