Not bad, could check argo outlet on ebay thou

Good laptop for the money. Fujitsu kit is very good nowadays
#4
Any Intel dual-core under £300 is worth a look, under £250 even more so.
#5
Thanks - just ordered one for the FIL. I could only find a few reviews but they are all quite positive. Good price for a new branded lappie - you can pay the same for refurbs.
#7
Decent price with HDMI. Good spot!
#9
seems to be a good deal
#10
scorching hot
#11
Quite amazing what you can get nowadays. Hot

Where did the spec above come from? Doesn't seem to actually list the processor on the website.

Because it's over £40 more, from an online lesser-known supplier as opposed to somewhere you can walk-in to return, has less storage.

dunno p6100 def not an option in the manual clicking through the link.
p4500 then icores mentioned

Not bad price but asus x52f is better at 279 from saveonlaptops as same cpu. The fujitsu has adj of spill resistant keyboard though. I like the keyboard on asus but the fujitsu isnt individual keys like the asus....Overal both are good for general browsing and the cpu is arrandale p6100 so similar to i3.
I think my asus k52f with i3 2gb ram at £309 with quidco was a steal at electrical 123 should have been at least 375...plus it has 2 years warranty. However this is a good deal at £249 and will last for
ages as fujitsu is a good make like asus.

Also because brand IS an important factor when purchasing a laptop as it tends to correlate with failure rates.

Just get the Acer on eBay. Virtually same spec but with 3GB RAM.

Good point, the site has no indication of processor as far as I can tell. We only know this:

SATA, 5400 rpm, 250 GB, 2.5-inch
2 GB ( module(s) 2 GB) DDR3, 1066 MHz, PC3-8500, DIMM

It has more RAM, so it's possibly worth it. Only awkward thing is not being able to return it by walking into a store like ASDA.

A link from the Asda site lists these processors for the A530/AH530 :-

intel® Core™ i7 processor i7-620M (2.66 GHz, 4 MB)
intel® Core™ i5 processor i5-520M (2.4 GHz, 3 MB)
intel® Core™ i5 processor i5-430M (2.26 GHz, 3 MB)
intel® Core™ i3 processor i3-350M (2.26 GHz, 3 MB)
intel® Core™ i3 processor i3-330M (2.13 GHz, 3 MB)
intel® Celeron® processor P4500 (1.86 GHz, 2 MB)

Asda gives little info I know.
This review mentions the cheapest option has p6100 - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Fujitsu-Lifebook-AH530-Notebook.40469.0.html
Here gives same cpu with same hdd and ram - http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=B511653&viewSpec=y#productTop
The p6100 is related to i3 cpu.
#24
I think this has the p6200 cpu not p6100. no stock in store so must be clearance line. I was after this before i went for the asus....at 299 it was a deal but at 249 i would buy it....You cant go wrong and you can upgrade to i3, i5, i7 as it has same chipset wen you need to in a few years time.....i would just upgrade ram for 17 quid to 4gb.
#26

Yes but it lists 6 possible processors, no specific processor, so we're none the wiser.
#27
This def the p6200 as i have seen one instore a few weeks ago .Be warned the speakers are crap on this that u will end up taking it back. go to staples and try it out...they have the i3 for 349 which is on offer but has the sandybride core which is a par with a arrandale i5

Good deal that, the p6100 is the exact same architecture as the mobile corei3 processors (not the new sandy bridge models),minus the hyperthreading.I would upgrade the RAM though,2GB for Win7 wouldn't cut it for me.
