Seems good. It's actually cheaper on the website! £255.31 for just the laptop.

May i add you have a choice of bag ranging from a basic messenger bag worth about £15 to a executive bag worth £50, depending on stock and also enquire about the free mouse offer that you are also entitled to (Logitech basic optical worth or Laptec optical 800 i believe) total amount saved is well over £100

Is this available online? :?

If it is, link please :)

Instore only, gives you a better opportunity to choose a bag you like etc! remember it's on any laptop over £250 ;-)

Good laptop - My sisters got an older model Fujitsu siemens which has been going well for a year and I just helped my brother buy a 2727 (2Gb RAM 1.8Ghz Pentium dual core model) for £330 from tescos.

There is also an option in Staples to buy a Vista basic upgrade to Vista Ultimate for £49.99 when buying a vista laptop or PC.

Vista Ultimate on a 1GB machine though.... Good luck!!! :-D

I had 2 similar Fujitsu Siemens Laptops from Staples last year and they were rubbish, dodgy wireless network boards an motherboards in both which were replaced 3 times in each only to go again 2 and then 4 weeks out of 12 month warranty and also one of the mousepads packed in at the same time. Fujitsu didn't want to know so I ended up having to sell them for spares. I'm avoiding all Fujitsu stuff from now on.
#11
Regarding the upgrade to Vista Ultimate is £50 a good price ?
I was thinking of getting it for use on my Dell and just selling the other stuff on.

I beg to differ, i work for Staples and bags range from £9.99 for a clearance bag that some stores have up to a £49.99 executive bag, there is a free mouse on a seperate deal that anyone is entitled to that buys a laptop, it's a seperate offer but still available through to the end of next week! HP make very unreliable laptops so buy a Toshiba or a better Fujitsu if you're concerned about the quality of the £275 model.
#13
sorry....would have voted hot if wasn't for the terrible Fujitsu after sales service.
#14
Fujitsu after sales is better than HP who are are indian so good luck gettting any help that you'd understand, Fuji have an english customer service dept! and as for the G7091.........forget it and pay 20 quid more for the Toshiba L300-13R, similar spec, better made and 90GB extra storage
#15
I contact them every week to book in faulty systems for repair! i've had systems come back that have been dropped by hp and sent back in worse condition than they left us! the mouse deal is instore and any sales associate will show u proof if u want to ask them!
#16
bags are good quality but depending on sales would determine what is remaining, after all they're free, some customers have been getting free 50 quid targus backpacks and others 10 quid own brand bags but as i state it depends on what sells and what customers choose to take based on preference!
#17
for ur info, Labtec optical 800 mouse, or Logitech optical mouse, both retail at 10 quid, i dont make stuff up, worked for em for 6+ yrs and wont advertise anything that isn't true! I know more about the offeres than you do based on the fact that i'm there around 40 hrs a week as a manager so i know what i'm talking about!
#18
It's HP that get booked in every week for repair, shoddy build quality and power packs that dont last!
#19
I've had a Fujitsu Siemens laptop for 14 months now , never missed a beat although it is a bit flimsy in its plastic case & general build .

Brother has just bought an Acer 5920 for £399 , that seems to be a lot better build quality though & a nicer unit to use .

hot deal

has anyone purchased one and whats it like? Says the offer is for business users only, so would I need to register?
#21
It's an instore offer only, available to everyone!

My son brought a fujitsu lappy last May. The motherboard went kaput so rang Fuji who arranged to pick the lappy up the very SAME day !! Problem sorted and returned asap:thumbsup: I cant fault their customer service at all! Daughter also has one.-no probs there! (touch wood:oops:)
#23

Worth phoning your local to store to enquire as i'm off work this week! As of today instore offers will either continue or cease as all offers are revised each Thursday by head office.

We use HP's for our business and they are top notch! I dont know if the home ones are poorer quality, however based on the HP's I work with (NX's NC's) I couldnt recommend them strongly enough, they're tough as old boots and if they do fail the 3 year on site warranty is spectacular, generally you will have an engineer with the required part on site next day.
