Sorry about lack of detail. Wanted to get it on here before someone beat me to it.

Edit: Managed to add a bit more to op. Sorry.

Nice price!

I have one of these from Insight for 6 mths now, very pleased with it, albeit, there is a slight mains hum. You hear it when very quiet around. If there is normally a bit of noise then the hum is not noticeable. The hum goes away when the monitor brightness is turned to 100%.

I bought one from Insight around the same time Splender. Was it on hukd?, if so, it's a different model to this Tesco one. Mines a D22-W1. Mine has DVI and D-Sub but this Tesco one is D-Sub only.

Just looked up my bill from Insight it was FUJITSU SIEMENS 22" D22W-1 TFT for £111.59 delivered. It has both DVI and D-sub.

I have this - it's good for the money, the speakers are pretty weak however to the extent you may not want to use them at all.

Colours a little pale and blacks quite shallow, but that's me comparing it against my Dell.

It's a lot of screen for not much cash. Heat added

Is there a 3 year warranty on this with tesco.s

Contrast Ratio - 5/4/1900 0:01

Somebody at Tesco's has been using Excel... He he he, it happens all the time when you type 2 figures separated by a : in a cell.

So... either they use American date formats (month/day/year) and the figure should read 3,000:1 or they use British date formats (day/month/year) and then the figure is... 2,304:1 which doesn't sound very credible.
I couldn't find the specs in Google (L22-11 only returns this page and those on Tesco's website) so I'd bet on 3,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, which would mean an actual ratio of 1,000:1. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Great deal, good price for a 22" monitor! Serious brand too, they have a lot of corporate customers (including my company) so that's quite reassuring. Voted hot.

You need to go part way through the buying process before the voucher box is there.

Spent all afternoon trying to register online, keep getting tesco error message, (tesco maintence trying to sort it out. So just got off the phone to tesco direct and guess what after 10 minutes of being on hold - All sold out.

What is it with monitors at the moment, over the past week have tried pcworld, play and comet everytime I find a monitor I like it is sold out.
#16
great price, ordered myself one! Heat and rep your way =]

i think the hum is due to the speakers on the monitor - just switch them off and you will be ok - unless you use the speakers of course.

Ok just an update, I just managed to register online, ordered one to pick up from store on monday afternoon hopefully.

So it appears if you use Tesco direct phone they have sold out but online still have them. fingers cross.

To make sure I will ring store on Monday before I go there.

Great price - and this would be great for an Xbox 360 using VGA cable - especially after the planned autumn dashboard update will include 1680 x 1050 output resolution

but do you really want to work for tesco :D

it is 1000:1 contrast ratio btw

Would this Neovo 22" monitor be a better buy? Same contrast ratio, lower response rate at 3ms, plus it has DVI.

It's on Today Only at Scan for £129 delivered (if you're registered on AVForums).

What do you think? Worth the extra £20, or at this price is there another monitor that competes?

Good question - anyone care to comment?

The AG Neovo has a DVI input, that makes it far better than this in my opinion.

You can buy an official XBox VGA cable, so yes it can be used with an XBox.

It was about 6 months ago imdurc and we had to use a voucher at the time to get that price. I've just checked Insight and that model is discontinued:

The original post is the one below. Loads of people bought them at the time for £111 ish delivered using a discount code. Insight put the price up after so it became £134 delivered:

mine arrived with seal broken!! didnt open the box, will check when back from work.
#39
Amazed Tesco store actually rang me to say its ready for collection, so will go and get it now.
#40
ok, mine arrived first thing this morning..... amazing, only ordered them late saturday night.

seals on the boxes..... yes mine looked like they had been opened too, however, if you look at the boxes, the printing has Fujitsu Germany address. All the cables etc inside were in plastic bags as expected, except 1, the power cord with a uk 3 pin plug, so it looks like tesco's have been using German/European stock to fulfil the orders, as there is only a 2 pinned power plug in a plastic bag, and they have opened them to add the 3 pin one. - at least thats my impression/thoughts

1 of the ones i got is now installed and working, older graphics card picked it up fine, resolution was not an issue, and there appears to be no dead pixels at first look.... i need to do a full test yet though, but i usually see these things fairly fast.

Colours seem good and vibrant (you'll need to turn down the 100% brightness default setting though!) contrast appears good, and back lighting also appears good for this price range. viewing angle is not the best i have seen, but good for this price range, if you set it on your desk and dont try and view it from different positions all the time, i dont see many issues arising from the viewing angle. Responce times i can't comment on.

i'll have little contact with these 2 monitors as i bought them for other people, but my initial impression is they are well worth the money for a 22" screen, sure only a D-Sub connection and cheap and cheerful base, but a lot of real estate for the money.
