No , you can place your order it is not out of stock

Seems a good price, just not keen on that 80's style silver/black slash bezel and no DVI

you will see a noticeable difference...

your 22" display is probably 1680*1050, this display is 1920 x 1080 (the same as a 24" monitor). Its the resolution that makes the difference, not the physical size of the monitor.

I use a laptop with a lot smaller screen than this and it has the same resolution, thereby I can fit more work on my laptop screen than you can on your 22" monitor.

Wait for the Dell one or get this one? Hmmmmm
#12
4% quidco should reduce it to just over £139
#13
HDMI and DVI are electrically identical - the only difference is that HDMI has additional connections for encryption and audio. You can buy a cheap (£2.50) converter that will go from DVI to HDMI.

They are both digital, and both have the same level of quality.
#14
"Theme mode for optimized picture", anyone know what that means?

I'm guessing this one doesn't have 1:1 pixel mapping like the dell one does?

I think the bezel is just plane black, they just put some silly shiny effect on the picture to confuse us!

Just been looking for a freeview box with HDMI output and found one at Maplin:
Freeview Set-top Box with 1080p HDMI Upscaling (£40 delivered)
Would be a great complement to an LCD monitor like this.

I ordered the dell one but regreting it now, surely this one is better for console gaming + its 10000:1 contrast ratio and it also has the audio output, Have emailed dell so that they can cancel my order its still in phase 3!!

so is this better or worse than the dell one?

Up until few months 24" screens were 1920 x 1200 (16:10), so images, movie playback or ps3 input would be stretched, unless the screens support 1:1 pixel mapping. The deal looks good maybe a good alternative to the dells and benq screens. 2 HDMI, maybe a good alternative for a bedroom TV as well, if combined with a freeview or freesat box.

given money is a limiting factor - this defo is THE monitor to have

Like this one for £40 at Maplin:
Freeview Set-top Box with 1080p HDMI Upscaling

EDIT: or this one for £30 at Argos:
Bush DFTA16HD Digital Set Top Box with HDMI

Very good deal, and I dont think it would stretch the image:

yes it will work. HDMI conveys both audio and visual signal! so you will have both

I dont get why this isnt getting any hotter!
the dell deal went almost up to 1000 degrees celcius!

Hot from Me. Its bye to the trusty old Sony CRT

i orded the 1 and now thinking rather hav this stage 3 wid my dell 1 too...
hdmi on this as well unlike the dell 1 and is it a more reliable make?
#30
just asked dell to cancel my order mite purchase this instead is this free delivery?
#31
The price shown includes delivery
#32
Checked my Dell delivery status & it has just changed to the 16/01, I ordered back on the 16/12 and it had said 31/12.

Sold my old TFT monitor when I ordered the Dell and I am using an old beige CRT right now.

Tempted like others in this thread to cancel the Dell order and have this instead but like the Dell no reviews online as far as I can see and less confident of getting a replacement if dead pixels etc from Misco.

Does anyone know;

What their dead/bright pixel policy is?

How long delivery is with Misco on this item? (can select next day delivery but ordered on demand???)

If there are any reviews online or has anybody got one?

Cheers

Does anyone know if you can play console games and watch tv with these sets or are they just for games and pc usage?

The best way to find out is to phone them personally.

0800 294 4516. But I dont know if Misco is "open", as it says they are closed until the 28th.

Hope this helps.

the question is....is Fujitsu Siemens better than dell in terms of quality and reliably and after sales service?

They are both well known brands, and I'm sure they would do everything they could to help and would probably replace whatever is broken with no questions asked.
#38
Hmm, bit annoying that this monitor doesn't have DVI, just HDMI and D-Sub.
Otherwise it would be a bargain for me.

You can get a HDMI to DVI adapter for about 3 quid.

Not a problem :)

hdmi is more expensive connection type anyway if u hav a hdmi graphics card like me ur graphics card box should have the adaptor init...

just get a hdmi cable if not and then get teh adaptor (is one included with monitor?)
