15.4 Laptop - C2D!!!!!! T5300, 120gb, Vista Home Premium, 2048 Mem

I took a couple of pics of the specs and the shelf edge label and will post them if I can. I'm sure that this is store specific but I can say that there was one in the Glossop Branch when I was there an hour ago.

Hope that they are elsewhere, bargain!!

Apparently this model is a Tesco exclusive and was released in July 2007 when it was priced at £500. I think the chances of finding one of these are very slim, but have some heat and rep!
#4
worth it if you can find one, i will call up my local tesco and see what is what

Gingerboy, do you happen to have the Tesco product code as unfortunately your photo is far to small to see it - this would be handy for other members to allow them to contact Tesco and confirm stock availability within the UK.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

I have just looked at the full size photo and the number is - 0613200296-0001/4333643107338/11

I think that the first part of the number is the TPN (Tesco Product Number) that you may require.......

Good luck

when you use the insert image icon, you need to delete the htpp:// that is already in there, thats why your pics arent showing,

Err, what?

I got this laptop in July 07 think i paid £480 for it then, cracking little laptop havent had any real issues with it at all.

Currently running Windows 7 professional on it.

The only real problem i have with the laptop is the speaker, the sound is really low even when turned up to full.

And its Core 2 Duo, think the title had it down as core duo.
#18
does it have a dvd writer with it ?
#19
An excellent deal, I'll go and have a look on my lunch break.
#20
great value, decent processor the likes of which you won't see till you're paying £400+ elsewhere

Why are people raving over a laptop that's got 2gb RAM and 120gb HD.
#22
I've just binned my Fujitsu, had no end of trouble with it. First the hard drive failed, then the graphics card, then the screen controller, then the screen itself. The touchpad buttons collapsed underneath and the warranty place said that I'd been abusing the PC. And on the weekend the on board power connector went up in smoke, literally!!

My laptop wasn't the one posted here, but it's made sure I will never buy Fujitsu again, no matter how much of a bargain it is.

Good find. Cheapest C2D laptop that I have seen so far. If your worried about space, just get an external harddrive for about 60 quid.
#24
My dads first laptop was a fujitsu and it ran great in the first few weeks, then it started to overheat like crazy, now it just blue screens and never shuts down, it always gets a blue screen, and it always crashes and blue screens. Which has made me wonder about buying Fujitsu can anyone else comment on this, does anyone know if they have improved or if they are generally ok laptops to buy now?

um because you can esily put 4gb of ram in it, and 120gb HDD is plenty for most people.
Furthermore getting a C2D at this price is damn hot, even if it had been a Pentium DC it would be an alright price!
#26
Does it have a webcam?

laze

Good one, have some H&R!

COLD.....probably the only store that had one...yet people still saying hot....

Am I the only one who thinks 4GB of RAM is overkill for most people?

The guy who was mocking this laptop for only having 2GB RAM/120GB HDD... This is hardly a laptop for gaming so why on earth would you need 4GB of RAM?

Because he is a troll who probably has no idea what he is talking about
#35
That particular store found some old laptops from 2007 hidden in a storage cupboard. No other stores will have them, and too expensive for the low specs anyhow.
#36

It is whenever the laptop comes with vista 32bit which can only use 3Gb of ram.

Understandable point of view...however, 4GB is fast becoming the defacto standard for a good reason...it's needed if you want to keep up to date with new apps. Unrelated to gaming.

Windows 7 Enterprise edition grabs more than 1.1GB of RAM as soon as it's started up without you touching a key. That leaves you less than 900MB for all your apps, device applications and drivers, browser windows, taskbar utils, etc.
#38
None in Portadown or Craigavon store.Has anyone else found one yet?

Both Vista & Windows 7 can use the full 4gb on 32-bit systems...provided your machine's BIOS allows it (I know many Dell's don't without an upgrade) this was taken care of my M$ via an update in 2008.

In that case, do people really believe t hat a model which is almost 2 years and a half old is going to be in stock in most tesco's in the country. They're clearly trying to clear old stock, which is limited.

Waste your time if you want but take on this simple peice of logic.
