Really? Well perhaps you could prove that by posting links to a couple of laptops with the same spec and by an established manufacturer such as Fujitsu Siemens. :whistling:

Hot hot deal!!!

A 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo and 250GB hard drive is no typical at this price. Hot.

Hi Jawaid87, the only thing stopping me so far is the screen. Can you please tell me about the quality of the screen on this laptop? Is it the usual Fujitsu glossy screen or a matt screen? How do the pictures look on it? I would appreciate your view on this.
#7
To be honest, the screen is fine for me.
Nice matt finish, with next to no glare that I can see.
Picture quality is good, with colours nice & vibrant and no dead pixels.

I'm happy with mine, but then you may not be... suppose it's down to individual preference, but my recommendation would be to go for it, especially when its now £20 cheaper than what i paid for it last week !!

Thanks for the reply Jav. I would prefer a glossy screen. I bought one of the laptops from Aldi and the only reason it's going back is because of the matt screen which completely lets it down in my opinion. No point in having a good spec without a good screen to show it off. :-(

I understand your point that the screen on this Fujitsu is quite good but after my experience, I wouldn't want anything but a glossy screen now. I guess Fujitsu had to cut corners somewhere to make this laptop so cheap for the spec. Still a hot deal though.

Cheers mate. :santa:

So does this mean it has Wi-Fi or not?

There is an error in the specs. The Intel T7300 is a 2ghz processor not 2.2ghz (that's de T7500). You won't notice the difference, but the details of the hardware are incorrect.

If someone has bought this machine, could they please provide their comments on the same pls.

Thanks!

Very nice spec laptop for the price. However, I'm put off by the keyboard buttons around the arrow keys in the bottom right corner. Might seem negligible but it'll drive you nuts if you do a lot of word processing and you keep hitting page up and down by accident when navigating round!

Thanks flyingflea

How is the performance of the laptop?
How is the screen is it glossy or matt
Does it have Bluetooth, firewire, onboard modem, wifi, S-Video?

Overall how is the look and feel of the laptop?

Apologies for asking so many questions, but it will help many of us to decide to go for this laptop or not

I tried to call ebuyer but their i was put on wait by helpdesk to pre-sales team, waited for 15 min then had to hang up.

Thanks!

I remember looking at this laptop a while ago before I got a Vaio. Was really interested for the price / spec.
However, I eventually found a report that said it had a battery life of something poor (2hours I think?)....so I binned the idea

The official battery life is about 3 hours. which is good to be off the main supply for a while considering this is a mobile machine. some of other machines are worse off. battery life can degrade over the time, this is normal.

Ye, I am not sure where I read it now..but it was probably incorrect information.
Never mind..the Vaio is doing a good job

I bought my Fujitsu Siemens laptop a couple years ago and although the screen / weight / battery life are ok and it has wifi and short cut keys built in, the downside I would say is the quality of the unit itself, the solidness of the keyboard, keys etc. I had been using my dad's Acer previously and Acer build quality seems much higher. Its not like an IBM which is a brick and heavy to carry around (or really expensive and small) but is much better quality than FS. The warranty is much better with Acer too

just a quick question: (well 2)

q) doe this laptop have a smallish screen? approx A4 size?
q) Is this laptop ideal for being portable?
