FREE BACK PACK WITH THIS LAPTOP LIMITED STOCK!!

Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile V5535, Core 2 Duo T5850 2.16GHz, 2GB RAM 250GB HDD, 15.4" TFT, DVD Supermulti, Vista Home Premium

£369.99 including VAT & Delivery

For me, this is a very nice price for the specs this laptop comes with, plus the price includes a free back pack and delivery, although the back pack is of limited stock.

Note:

1) This is a Core 2 Duo CPU which is much BETTER than a Dual Core Pentium or Celeron. Although the processor is a T5850 which is 667 Mhz FSB and not the T5870 which is 800 Mhz FSB, you won't notice too much of a difference - and for that price, you'd do very well to find a better spec.

2) My only reservation would be for the graphics processing unit (SiS Mirage 3+) the laptop comes with as it is hardly great. Having said that, a lot of other laptops come with Intel X3100 or GeForce 8200 gpus which aren't that much better. Laptops at these prices are not built for gaming though.

It is really not that good either

Graphics = SiS Mirage 3+ Shared Video Memory (UMA) the sis chip is useless. The only thing this machine has going for it is the processor but is the point of a half good processor when it is backed up by slow ram and a useless integrated graphics chip, sorry but this is cold for me

Pay the extra 20 quid and buy the hp that is on sale at ebuyer http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/306927/hp-6735s-laptop-389-98-ebuyer-amd-t/

Yep £20 extra for the HP is better. It's the one I have had me eye on but just not ready to jump in yet . I'm hoping that I can get a good deal if I hold out a bit longer. Does this not have a better brain Core 2 Duo?

yep this is probably does have a better processor that tha hp but like i said before it is completely wasted in this machine, you have 667mhz ram oppose to th 800mhz ram in the hp and it has a graphics chip that can hardly cope with vista's aero features.

you would need your head testing if you went for this over the hp

according to Dell the Inspiron 1525, which also has a T5850 processor, runs at 800 mhz fsb

Cheers m8, the more info I have on me when I finally jump for one the better.

I have the v5505 t7500 core duo version of this that I paid 500 for a year ago from ebuyer and can say its an awesome laptop except the graphics for gaming.
Only quibble is the right mouse button has kind of went a bit soft to the touch, slightest tap activates it.
Button still working though and I use this laptop 24/7.
Get about hour and a half on full power watching hd rips and around 3 hours just surfing on power saver mode.
Would say deffo buy it

a year ago it might not have been such a bad machine, especially with that processor but not it is now, those graphics are just hopeless. If you were in the market for a laptop now can you honestly tell me you would get this over the hp that is £20 more

by the way you sure that the dell has that processor and not either the T5800 or the T5870 as they both do have 800mhz FSBs and the website i looked at said the dell came with the T5800 but obviously this can be customised. also take a look here http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html it again states it is definitely a 667mhz fsb

lol, sorry i didnt mean to sound worked up, i was just pointing out this deal is really not hot in the slighest, like i said a year ago maybe but not now. The sis chip was a very poor chip when it came out and it is even worse now. Plus i really do not think the op has a clue what he is on about when he states that the 8200 is not much better becuase quite simply they are playing in different leagues

your not wrong when you say it is not good for gaming, think it would struggle to run really old games, can this chip even run the chess game on vista without turning off the aero features?
#13
All i can say is that my machine has the mobile intel 965 chip and runs windows vista aero and chess just fine:thumbsup:

I guess you're referring to the Viking deal, which is only open to those who originally tried to purchase the Medion.

The answer is of course yes, this deal is £370 so at £230 is obviously a deal.

But, you should be aware that this is a better spec than the viking deal. Faster processor for a start.

yep referring to the viking deal, have you taken them up on the offer?

im a bit apprehensive about the viking offer because theres not much info on the battery supplied!

if its 4 cell iv read that i can expect 50mins on the most demanding settings and 1h20 when its on the powersaver mode.

this is really quite dire! as my dell that is 3 years old offers me a better battery life and iv been using it daily since, and on average for two hours a day!

Should really be discussed in the proper thread, not a thread about an unrelated laptop.

Your question about battery life has already been answered ^.

I've taken them up on the offer, it's a fair replacement. I'm going to be using it mainly as a desktop that can be carried around the house or in the car so I actually prefer this slightly faster bigger model.
