I've got the same monitor already...bought it a few months back for a higher price am i love it. Excellent performance and looks great!

is this monitor good then? been looking at buying a new one but have to admit that i'm a bit lost. Would like to be able to play my xbox 360 through it as well. Have tried linking my current lcd tv up to my pc but the response time is awful!
Any help would be appreciated! :-D

got one of these for £111 from insight few months back, really good monitor for the price range

u can connect it to your xbox via the DVI-d port available.

cconnecting it via the vga cable would be easier
#7
is this hd ready for ps3 and xbox360, 720p ? 1080i ?
#8
@radical_tushar To use the DVI input your xbox would need to support HDMI (another type of digital connection) and you'd have to use a HDMI->dVi adapater/cable.

Remember though not all xbox support hdmi especially the older ones, so bearman is right the other option is to use use a VGA cable - supported by all Xbox version that I am aware of.

On a screen this size and at the resolution the Xbox360 puts out you'd be hard pushed to notice any difference at all between the two.

The other thing to remember is that native resolution of the xbox is 1368x768 (or near enough) not 1680x1050. So if it it works it will be scaled by the monitor or appear with black bars if you set it to native 1:1 mapping depenfing on the setting. This might be anoying to some but the picture will still be pretty great.

This is my first post so welcome everybody
I am thinking about getting 22" LCD for similar price this day.
Is that one definitely worth buying or would You suggest i.e.
HannsG HG216DP 22 HDMI TFT from misco listed some time ago on HotUK deals or any other for maximum budget 150 quids?

does this monitor allow you to switch between dvi and vga (two computers one monitor) ?

Nope, you would need a vga switch box for that

I have two computers connected to this monitor via DVI and VGA connections and it allows you to switch between them.

This is a great monitor and is commented on by every client I have in the office

i got this for £111 from insight too.

decent monitor.

use it a LOT for xbox.

the new system update in autumn is giving xbox 360 16:10 monitor support, so no more stretched images(i use a HDMI to DVI cable and a modded vga cable to my tv set so i didn't have to buy the £25 dongle for audio output).

To be honest, i hardly notice the image stretch anyways.

tis killer for COD4!

Yes, it will =)

It would be better if you didn't reply to something you obviously know nothing about....

Has anyone tried this on an Xbox360 or PS3 using HD?

Just want to know how good it is?
#16
This one or the Neovo 22"?
Both are around the same price

Which is the better buy???

Depends on if you want the VGA for your 'puter.

I use DVI-HDMI lead for 360.

This is a good monitor for the price. Only drawbacks are the contrast ratio (some tweeks needed to get the blacks half decent), no one button DVI-VGA switch (through menu) and rubbish speakers (never use them anyway). All of which are expected for a budget panel.
#18
I'm guessing it won't take a scart or similar input and that any TV watching would have to be via the PC ?

when the new update lands soon there will support for much higher resolutions like 1440x900 not sure if 1680x1050 will be there but it should be also so the 360 will do the scaling

Got mine for £111 too delivered a few months ago - wish I'd bought two.
Good picture. As mentioned the sound is poor through the built-in speakers but I expect most would want to use a better method of sound output anyway. Insight service was very good. Initially there was a problem for me with the ATI Radeon X800 GTO graphics card and other similar ATI Radeon X series cards (other users reported on HUKD) - this was due to the graphics card being incompatible with this particular monitor (very odd I know), however since I changed graphics card, twice in fact, its been fine with the other ones I used. The issue was the monitor going to sleep after a short time of inactivity and could not be woken up (this was not a PC setting) without removing and reinserting the power cable (a reboot was required for some users). This did not in any way reflect negatively on my experience with this great monitor, or to be fair on the X800 GTO - just a rare chance incompatibility.
Considering buying another one, just reluctant to pay that little extra :p, but still a great deal at that price.
#22
does it have HDCP?
#23
Just ordered one to sit next to my Viewsonic, at this price it must be OK as a second monitor or am I just being greedy:roll:
#24
I am still pretty new to this so how do I add some heat?

oops should have read the instructions, sorry!!!
#25
"With its extremely slim and stylish glossy black front" - I'm guessing this refers to the Enclosure Colour and not the actual screen being glossy coated, can anyone tell me which it has as I really want a glossy screen over matte.

Does it Have a Glossy Screen or a Matte screen?
#26
I have one of these that has been hardly used at all. Would anyone like it for £115 delivered? It's about 5 months old I think, or whenever the last deal was around.

This one or the Neovo 22"?

I also have the neovo, again hardly used, if anyone wants it. That one is a little bit older. £115 delivered again.

Both have been sitting in their boxes for the last 3 months or so.

yes, but they are rubbish.

I've got a space opf 51cm and this is 51cm - I'm on the verge of buying but.....

Went for it last night while inebriated, then discovered the space I have is 50.5 cm NOT the 51 that this monitor is.
Hurriedly asked to cancel it...looks a belter of a monitor though.
#31
As I said earlier, I have ordered to sit next to my VA 2216w so will let you know how it compares based on the fact that I will connect via DVI
#32
The 3yr warranty alone is worth this amount!!! Recently, my 19" tft broke... rang up the warranty line, and i had 6 months left... they arranged for a new one to be sent out, and faulty one to be collected!!!

Top service!!!

I've just received one of these monitors and initial impressions are good.
I upgraded from a 15" D-sub only monitor.
I have a problem as it won't play DVDs now with the new 22" screen.
I'm presuming that it is because it is now using DVI and the monitor is only recognised as universal PnP.
I can't semm to find a driver for this monitor anywhere, can anyone help?

Note: my Graphics card is ; 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT card

Item number: 04350863 Date: 04.07.2006

Description:
Is an explicit driver necessary for the ScaleoView or ScenicView Displays?

Solution:

There is no driver needed for Fujitsu Siemens Computers displays.

Please install the monitor as a "Plug & Play"- monitor.

See above - So my problem must be something to do wuith my graphics card. Mmmmmm.

Probably can't help much but I just got mine this morning, I have an ATI Radeon HD2400 and am running a Viewsonic 22" through D Sub and the Fujitsu through the DVI. Whilst it shows the Viewsonic, the Fujitsu is picked up as Generic PnP. Must admit though I do like the Fujitsu so thanks for the original post
#37
I can't play DVDs with Win Media Player but I can with VLC.
#38
don't think I know the answer, I play DVD through KMPlayer and have no probs with either monitor

Two days later and I now have a really loud buzz from the monitor! even when on stand by, quick response from the supplier, Insight, and will call the help line for Fujitsu tomorrow. Anyone seen any reviews for this monitor? Apart from the buzz, the monitor is great!
