O.K this tv is £299 at most places but what makes this deal so good is the free 5 year warranty. It works out that this tv will cost you £1.15 a week (16p a day) over the next 5 years. Plus 3% cashback should be available from Quidco, every little helps :)

It comes up with £3.50 delivery in checkout but according to the M&S website all TVs over 26 inch are free delivery. Can anyone shed any light on this, thanks.

It looks like it's added a delivery charge of £3.50, but according to their T&Cs delivery is normally free for 26"+ TVs so not sure why :

Large technology items including 26"+ TVs and wine fridges

We will contact you to agree a delivery date.
Takes: up to 2 weeks
Costs: Free

What Hz is this? 50? and how badly would that affect gaming, seeing as i'd mostly just be playing Xbox on it...

Heard some games dont work with 50hz tvs :(

If you have SKY or VIRGIN, and you don't need Freeview HD then why not spend £25 more on this Sharp LED edge lit TV which has a USB port which not only plays (DivX) video, music or photo files, but can also record/timeshift programmes from the set’s digital tuner to USB storage devices.

John Lewis now selling for £349 and is out of stock. The Sharp mentioned in a comment for £325 I can't find it for that price using the link.

Good price, but way too thick for my liking. Shame it's not LED, otherwise I'd have snapped it up. Looking for a very thin set to hang on the wall. At almost 10cm thick, it's a no go for me. :(

Without going into it in detail, that's only for tube tellies, console PAL60/50Hz is a totally different thing to an LCD TV's 100/50 Hz and have nothing to do with each other,

This was only an issue for people that had (usually really old) CRT tellys years ago that couldn't run console games in PAL 60Hz mode.

As the guys have said this set will display by default 50hz, but if you feed it 60hz material it will display that natively as well. So to sum up it is a 50/60hz TV ...

Anyone know M&S's pricing policy?
I ordered this from their website late wednesday night when it was £349 (also charged £3.50 delivery).
Got an email confirming order and saying delivered before 13th Jan. Got a phone call Thursday lunch time saying it would be delivered today (Friday) and would get a call between 8-10am with an eta.
It's still £299 on their website, will I be charged £299 or £349? Can I refuse delivery and then reorder?
#26
i get my JL on wednesday 5th.. can't wait.. great TV

oh and CraigVIP "every little helps" Tesco my dear..

andfinally if your wanting a thin LED you won't find one on an item which clearly says LCDin the title

Coming up free delivery for me to NI.
#30
Thanks whitbyfish.
Trying to get hold of my girlfriend (she's at work), it was ordered in her name and paid on her card.
Going to get her to give them a ring and see if they will just refund her £50 rather than refusing delivery and re-ordering.
