So can we now go back in time and buy this TV, if not this is the best price we can buy the TV at, so definately a good deal in present time..we don't know future deals and can;t go back to past deals..

I'd ask richersounds to do a price match (they add the price of the tv+5 year warranty+next day delivery if it cant be picked up to get the total price that they match to) however as its free 5 year warranty and its M&S, richersounds should price match at £599, and they have a much better extended warranty.

I have this TV - recommended

I thought there were one or two issues with the ex503 40" screen. See http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-led-lcd-tvs/1180913-sony-bravia-ex500-503-series-ccfl-100hz.html.

I got the 37" one for about this price, about 8 months ago. Fantastic TV. I posted it on HUKD a coulpe of times and it was voted cold - I could never understand this. Its currently available for about £589 - see here: http://www.tvprice.co.uk/sony-kdl37ex503-4685.aspx

If you go as far as checkout, admittedly the price is slightly wrong but shipping costs on M&S are a bit of a mess......no need to shout btw

Besides 100Hz is there any difference between the EX403 and EX503?

If not then you have to ask yourself if 100Hz is really worth an extra £150-200.

I got the 200Hz version of this when it was posted on here last week and it's wicked. It was £200 more though and 3D is a waste of time, the glasses are annoying and it's generally irritating to watch.

Good deal!

I have been looking out to buy this T.V. for ages and i cannot believe i missed this TV at £450?
Will probably buy this today at M&S.

P.S. Anyone have any knowledge/experience of the M&S 5 year warranty?

Wait until March, when the replacement model for this should be availible. New models will be unveiled next week at CES 2011. The old models are always heavily discounted during March/ April.

Wasn't £450, it was £550 with cashback - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sony-bravia-40-kdl-40ex503-lcd-tv-5/828865

Just been reading about the future of tv - OLED. LG are releasing a 31" OLED in March. It's only 2.9mm thick! And that wasn't a typo! Apparently also has the best picture ever on a tv screen. The drawbacks? It's going to cost between £3,000 and £6,000! But that's what plasma screens cost 10 years ago. Give it another 3-5 years and LCD and Plasma will be old news.

http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/review/2010/09/04/Hands-on-with-LG-s-31in-OLED-TV/p1

Either, way - this is a very hot deal if you don't want to wait 5 years :p

I did not think it was ever £450, i would have been gutted to have missed that deal.
I'm now not sure whether to buy it for £600 after the replies on here about the new models coming out AND that it was £50 cheaper recently?????????????????

After seeing that LG 31" OLED i'm glad that i didn't waste any more money than the £340 on the Sony KDL40EX403. Now all I have to do is open a separate bank account to fund one when they have a 40" version.
#33
Hot from me.
I have the 32" model and it is terrific! Lovely image quality and Freeview HD was a joy during the World Cup and over Christmas. Use an Ethernet lead to your Router and it is a winning combination with built in BBC iPlayer.

k=k elecctronics have this for sale at 569. 99 with five year warranty but no in stock at the moment

Expected a better deal from M&S on this telly as this was the price they done it for last month on deal of the day and then they gave you a free Sony s370 Blu-ray player, plus you could claim the VAT back. However this seems to be a good price for this telly at the moment but I would wait for a better price.
#36
been after this tv for a few days now, but unless i'm being thick the price is definitely £699 is there a code to enter or is the £599 deal expired?
#37
Got JL to price match the M&S offer of £599.00
getting it this week, thought it was better deal with a 5year JL warranty than a M&S one
#38
The cheapest amazon had this tv for was £554.99 with a further 10% discount which reduced it to just under £500, which I am pretty sure was an accident. This was because the price only reduced to £554.99 for about 2 hrs as they were stopping the 10% discount and instead giving you a 3 year warranty instead. Think someone adjusted the price a bit early then realised and put it back up. I and a few others on here were lucky enough to bag one. I also sent my details off when the extended warranty voucher became valid and somehow bagged that as well. Excellent tv but the prices seem to have risen instead of fallen. Maybe something to do with being what hifi's tv of the year. There is also a Sony warranty voucher pdf flying about on this forum that gives certain Sony tv's a 5 year warranty when bought between November and January. This one is included.
