I cancelled my contract and had signed up with bt and they rang with that offer.

Are you locked in for the full two years if you take this?

12 month minimum

V6 was installed yesterday and it is so much faster than the tivo box. I also didn't pay any install or activation charges. If you really want to leave and they see you have another provider in place (bt had contacted virgin regarding my line moving to them) then they will offer you a great deal.
#10
Don't believe it somehow. Bit too cheap and to good to be true for existing customers
#11
I've just found this on their website and it's £55 per month plus a £14.99 activation fee
If you ring they do it for £39 per month?

Presumably you have to be at the end of ones contract? I just signed up for fibre only
#17
they say that it won't rise i'm supposed to be paying £27.99pm for 12 months , it has risen to £31.99...and my speedboost went from 50 to 50 lol

I phoned minutes ago 17/12/2016 and was told this offer is only valid for virgin customers who haven't got a TV package. For me to get the full house movies limited edition offer I would have to pay £73 a month and £114.99 upfront for the v6 box. So it's an absolute iceberg cold from me.

So - when ringing the number, do you go through to queries about your account? My contract is up and rang up about two weeks ago and they knocked my bill down to around £40, but that was with medium TV and 100mb BB. I didn't sign the contract they sent through because it quoted a different price to what I'd been told on the phone. Was considering ringing back to cancel - but if I can just quote full house movies limited edition offer and get this I'd be happy. How did you get the offer initially? Was it a letter or e-mail?

Just saw the screenshot of the letter someone posted. Might just cancel and see what they offer me as a bit annoyed about being told one price on the phone and having another price sent via e-mail.

Cheers.

What they said isn't true I had mix TV prior to the upgrade

I got mine in post yesterday and rang to day getting it delivered on Tuesday but internet speed is now running at 200
#23
do they ask if you got the letter?

Im currently paying £33 a month for 100mb broadband, basic tv/TiVo and weekend phone calls. I rang up and they said offer was not available. I only joined up in October, girl on phone wasn't very helpful either

How is virgin for online gaming on either ps4 or xbox one as i am thinking of getting their 50mb broadband. This is without their gaming broadband package i'm talking of.

to be honest you wouldnt get me ringing the number at top of the thread. I would call Virgin directly,

This could quite easily be a scam
#27
So just spoken to them (via 150, thinking of leaving) because I had a query anyway. I mentioned the full house deal and was told it was only for customers who didn't have Virgin TV at the moment to get them to try it.

Same as me

I will now leave virgin first chance I get as they are telling me all they can offer me is the sky movies for £33 extra a month. So I would pay £33 for next movies yet other virgin customers can very the full package for £6 more that can't be right
#31
I think to get this offer you have to either give notice of your 30days to leave or as stated not currently have a TV package.
#32
Managed to get it a few minutes ago, was on 35£ p/m on my normal 200 mb vivid fiber contract. 4 quid extra for TV with sky movies and bt sport, that's a good deal I'd say.

Sadly VM don't seem to give a stuff about their existing customer base....until it looks like they're going to leave in droves for the likes of Sky etc.

I had to cancel on the premise I was switching to Sky to get anything out of them. I'm tied in for another 12 months now and the Op's deal is certainly better than I got overall. These suppliers will never learn though that if they treat customers differently (especially new and existing) their loyal user base will inevitably dwindle.

If there was a competing fibre broadband provider I'd have likely stuck to my guns and left them by now.

Just tried it but not getting deal because i have basic TV package , but advised not paying for TV..
Still not getting so will go down cease service and wait for call back ?????

works fine for me with 2 xbox one's running, tablets mobiles and kodi on firesticks don't seem to get any slow down

Virgin broadband constantly cuts off over a dozen times a day. I've had engineers out on a number of occasions and every time there is a different fault. Very unreliable service. I will be cancelling as soon as I'm out of contract.

Absolutely brilliant offer. Unfortunately, when i renewed about two months ago the v6 wasn't out and i was sick of the old tivo so got rid of the tv and got a cheap retentions deal with bb 70mb and basic phone for £20pm. Dont regret it as i still think its good offer though i have to admit id have probably plumbed for this if it was available.

As i dont have tv now does anyone think they might be willing to upgrade me for this price or would they refuse since im now back on contract?

Very tempted to have a go...

It's cold from me I'm afraid. I got one of the letters, rang up and was told as I have TV already I can't get this deal and it was just a marketing glitch. When I threatened to leave over it the guy just said "well I think you've got a good deal anyway but if you want to cancel then we will lose you over it!" Never had that before! Not happy with them anymore and will not recommend to people. The only reason I didn't call their bluff is that I need my internet connection. Beware if you have TV already they don't honour it, they blame their marketing department. Only silver lining I got was the person on the phone turned off all the marketing for me (supposedly!) poor customer service though

Phoned and got refused. Phoned back and went to sales rather than retentions and they gave me offer. Just keep phoning and you will get someone in a generous mood!
