Full Sky Sports Package for only £3 a month instead of £18 a month.

4 month Deal

Rang Sky to cancel my sports package as you have to give 30days notice now to change your package. They asked why so i said I mainly have it for the football. They then said they had a special offer on - which is the above deal if I didnt cancel it. Absolute no brainer - snapped their hands off.

Sounds similar to when you ring your mobile provider to cancel.

Customer specific?

nice one, it is amazing that people DON'T ring SKY up more often and plead poverty or not getting the use out of the package, they have always given me a reduction every time i've called.

Seriously ring them up and state that with the football season coming to an end blah de blah or some other reason, and they are really good at keeping your service...

not really, try it........!

They'll give you it because it's not costing them anything extra, then after the 4 months, you pay them another £15 a month...

Well they would offer you that deal for 3 quid a month, as you said football seasons over and there is nowt worth watching on skysports anymore until the football season starts again..

So even 3quid is to much in my opinion..Voted cold..

£3 a month is too much!!?!?!

Good grief!

Can I say at £3 a month it is to much ???

If you cancel it now you would have to pay £18 for the months notice you have to give them.

Take out the offer and you pay £12.00 for 4 months of Sky Sports.

So how can £3 be to much.

Duuuuhhhhh.

Rugby, cricket, golf, boxing, plenty of value for money if you're a sports fan. Perhaps not so much if all you're interested in is watching Liverpool or summat.

everyone is gonna be watching the World Cup on terrestrial telly anyway

to confirm are you sure there is NO world cup football on sky?

i was going to cancel mine but will do this deal if world cup is on it

Anyone else got a retention offer recently?

I only have sky on the minimum "one mix" pack because my tv aerial is *****.... but when it comes to the end of the 12m in a few weeks I think I might cancel and get freesat or freeviewHD.

Will leaving for the above reason get me any decent deals?

All I can add to this is, I phoned up with the same idea a few months back. The guy I spoke to basically said 'Sky will try anything to retain custom if people are thinking of moving to another providor. Bt vision, Virgin etc. He said " we have a lot in our armoury to keep customers from moving from Sky". He also added. "the only thing one does not say is 'i am thinking about leaving sky'. if you say 'i AM leaving sky', then they will throw anything at you to keep you".
100% sure on this folks.

as I say, this is what a Sky rep told me. This is not my words. So in fairness, pretty useless post then.
