nowt wrong with steel for off road, some people prefer it. but on this bike, i doubt it would last going off a kerb lol

Added a bit of info to the thread title...

Is it a pick up & ride away bike

or is it ordered 1st , then arrange delivery
#8
I imagine it's available in-store in boxes and you have to assemble the handlebars and pedals yourself.
#9
Don't the Co-op sell insurance? You might want to take some out before jumping on your new ride. ;-)

Thanks for this Teejay,
Hot and Rep added.
I've just phoned my local store in the South and they confirm this is a one off allocation of promotional stock available in silver, red/pink, or blue.
Collect at store only.
I'll be popping down there sometime this week to check it out, as i need one for occasional use.
And for the critics above, if purchased, I will also buy a decent helmet :giggle:

Just a quick note to add that I have read that having full suspension looses 20% of the power you put into pedalling. Therefore unless you are really planning to do lots of off roading then avoid full suspension bikes as they can be hard work!

Well, we went, we saw, we got - £49.95 a bargain.
Yes it is a little heavy, but not too much so you can't lift it with 1 hand easily.
It's just the pedals to attach, and came with the spanner, allum key to straighten handle bars, adjust breaks, seat, etc
A very nice, sturdy bike for the money, and no additional delivery cost as managed to fit it in the back of my megane coupe (those things are like a tardis)

Popped into Halfords on the way back and got a starter kit, which includes heavy duty lock, water bottle, pump, and puncture repair kit for only £9.99 (that's a third off), plus a helmet for £8.99 (again third off).

So less than £70 for an all inclusive package - (which hopefully will result in a very fit wife :giggle: )

I am a great fan of Hot Deals. However I don't see why you would want to buy a really cheap bike. Surely its worth investing a bit more money for a bit more quality, performance and reliability. If this thing breaks its just going to add to the landfill, maybe should go straight there!:)

Cheaper bike = less heartache when it gets stolen!

Wouldnt buy a full suspension one tho.
