Funai 31B-250 VCR Recorder £8.00 delivered!!!!

Great deal you cant find a VCR anywhere anymore and you can buy tapes for so cheap now!!!

Everyone in our office still has the Beverly Hills Cop or Flash Dance on tape (although they dont own up to it!) and im sure its the same for a lot of you. Its becoming increasing harder to watch those classic movies you have stored up over the years, so grab at the chance now

Well, if you don't have any VHS tapes left, you could always use it as a modern art door stop.
#28
Thrown a nicam VCR away the other day. It had been sat on standby for over a year. Probably wasted more electricity than it was worth! Good price for anyone that needs one though.
#29
Excellent find OP...

Thanks for this deal..

Ordered 2 VCRs
#30
8 left according to Oli over at Boffer...better be quick.
#31
Perhaps instead of cheap as chips, in the future people will be saying "cheap as VCR's"

Damm just missed out by a min. All sold out now.
#34
You can pick up films on video for just 20p at our local car bootsale. I'd rather get these for the kids than DVD's that they scratch.
#35
I dont get this?

£8 for a next to uselass peice of hardware that is probably dire in quality, this is no sony or panasonic dual head vcr its a no brand like one we bought 5 years ago that was rubbish.

As for longevity there are a fare few regions going digital next year so it will just be a player of a really old format.

These things are for the bin if its anything like the divx player i got from them a few months back, that was a tenner and lasted a few weeks. This seems like a steal but its a steal for a reason, it saves them throwing it away ;)
#36
I bought my kids every disney video at great expense. Now they are older I'm loathe to replace onto dvd or sell for pittance they go for.Shame I missed out on this

Funai actually make some very good products, and you may be surprised who Funai manufacture for....Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Philips, Sharp, Denon, Kodak, Dell and Lexmark to name but a few. I have had their 3-in-1 DVD/HDD/VCR machine for 2 years and it's excellent.

There were millions of tapes sold around the world and people will still want to play them instead of buying everything on DVD, Bluray or the next big format to take you hard earned cash.

Dontcha just love brand snobs?:whistling:

If I ever find a pile of old 8 track players, I know where to come and sell them! :-(

i have about 150 video tapes including as Flufff said, quite a large collection of Disney videos which are in perfect condition, and were bought over the last 18 yrs. These cost a lot of money and all my tapes work perfectly well. Now I have a new VCR to play them on, to replace my 20 yr old machine, which was made before even long play was invented. So... WHAT exactly don't you get????

I know from personal experience that brand names and Which? best buys don't alway turn out best
