Why on earth do some websites not allow enlargement of product photos?! It blows my mind, especially with something like this!

Unless i'm missing something.

Seems cheap for cherry switches! Hot.

I don't know. It annoys me as well. Here's the official website for the keyboard in case you want to check it out in more detail http://www.func.net/en/products/kb-460-gaming-keyboard/.

That's exactly why I posted this, I've never seen a backlit and mechanical keyboard for this much, hell I don't even think I'be seen a mechanical keyboard this cheap before.

Delivery is £3.99 by the looks of it, so £43.98 total (still a good price for a decent keyboard with cherry mx switches)

Looks like it's £3.99. Should have posted that in the title but I've only just got to the order page. I'll add that now.

Great ordered (MX Blue) - Might have to mod the leds though

red or blue? I'm 50-50 with gaming and other work involving typing, not really much of an fps gamer. Is blue better (currently have logitech g510)

I've personally never used any Cherry MX switches, which is the main reason I'm so excited about this. I will however say that from what I've read online red switches are more suited for gamers whereas blues are more suited for typists. I personally chose the blues since they make the loud "clicky" noise which I really like. Seeing as you're like me in the sense you play games and type a lot in my opinion there's really no right or wrong answer. I'd check out some videos if you're unsure. That's what I did.

Following on from what tomdoughnut wrote above in response, I would advise you if your not sure to go with Reds, they are idea for both typing and gaming with just enough noise from them to know you've hit the key.

I am using Browns just now but I have had use of Blues and Reds as well, when this current keyboard breaks I am going right back to Reds.

thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll go for red, I think the clickety noise that a blue would make would drive my other half crazy! PC is in the living room :/
#11
Thanks OP. Got one with red switches :)
#12
nice find. good price for mech.

I love Cherry Coke. This keyboard also seems good.

Cheaper delivery from shopbt. Got it for £39.99 + £1.99 delivery. Don't forget 2% quidco.

Was heavily considering the K70 RGB, but after reading about all the software issues decided against it. This should do just fine at less than a third the price.

Too bad the bt shop don't have blue switches...

BT shop have both but are both red LED, probably what was confusing. Bought from BT shop for the cheaper delivery! Good spot OP

Thanks OP! Been debating whether to order a mechanical keyboard for ages! Finally taken the plunge!
#18
Blue for gaming? More like a typing keyboard

Here's a really good video review of the keyboard: http://youtu.be/8FWStuoDL5s

I'm not sure if to get it or not. I've been looking at the K70 RGB & the Blackwidow Chroma but they're £100 more.

Personally, I prefer the black for gaming. Its similar to the red but the keys have more resistance when pressing down and so spring back faster than any other keys.

If you record gaming videos, get the red or black as its quieter when typing.

I prefer blue, i just love the tactile feel and "clicky" sound, but then again i don't game (just some civ and point click adventures).

I've just ordered it :D

To have cherry red switches for £40 is a bargain!
#24
ordered the reds, checked reviews on youtube and reputable sources, seems all good :)
#25
Awesome, ordered one as well. Cheers.

I've no idea how anyone can play games using Blues, apparently some people can, I would not go for Blues for any type of gaming.

Red is all rounder. After trying every single switch I found red to be the most comfortable switch to use everyday. Some gaming and typing, and some casual work.

You should be able to hear/feel how nasty Blues are in that video. They have a cheap nasty plasticky feel to me. I'm biased as I don't like Blues. My advice is if you think you need Blues then get Browns.

Was on the fence but crikey those blue ones sound atrocious. Thanks for making the decision for me!

just ordered the red at bt shop. looking forward to this!

Can't checkout from BT shop and DABS, both end up with following error.

The items in the table below are in your basket but are no longer available. Click on the product to view some alternatives. You can also use the Find Similar feature to search for an alternative if none of the recommendations are suitable.

Looks like blue is OOS on BT Shop and Dabs, red seems to be in stock.
#33
Both OOS now just as I was about to order the MX Red one :(
#34
Bah missed it. FWIW I have red and blue, and much prefer the blue for day to day use. Red I was hitting a bunch of wrong keys, basically sounded like I was drunk if typing quickly.
#35
Blue and red both gone now
#36
The media keys are on the F1 to F4 keys. Do you have to press another key first before you can change the volume?
#37
gone :(
#38
Would really like cherry blue at this price. Any one knows how to track BT shop or dabs once they restock ?

They won't be restocking the item as it now says discontinued... Tried getting one from BT Shop just now and the site crashed, refusing me my purchase. Sad times.
