G-Star Great coat at a good price. Military style coat, most sizes available. In the republic sale, many new lines added, I just got some jeans at a well knocked down price

I got this at the sale, it's good but beware the buttons are a real pain and so far one button has came off after 2 days use. I have fixed this since rather than going back to the shop. On the flip side its a lovely jacket for £80 would have never paid any more than that for it though,

Good sale. I brought the Diesel Wittor coat in november on a deal at USC for £140 from its RRP £190. its now £100 in this republic sale. I recomend this wittor coat it looks the nuts.

why not spend £80 on a coat?

Because you're paying for a brand. I bought a coat almost exactly the same as that, and just as good quality, for £20 a year or two ago. £20... £80... that's a lot of difference. No need to spend £80 on a coat when you can get plenty of types and colours and variety of coats for anything less than that. This is the same sort of 'value' as paying £50 for a box of Christmas crackers because it's got chocolate liquors instead of plastic toys, or £30 for a small bottle of scented liquid because 'Britney Spears' made it.

£80 might be the best price around for this coat, but isn't that a bit outrageous? The BEST price for an item of clothing is nearly a hundred pounds? And to think £189.99 was the original retail price - that's half a month's rent for me!

I'd love to get a coat like this for £20.

About the cheapest overcoat I've seen is at least £40-£50. For a garment looking as slick as this, £80 doesn't seem so bad.

My only concern is that, with winter more than half way through, will military coats be old-hat next year?
