Unfortunately so far as a large number of retailers are concerned, it might as well be.
If they felt like wasting 10 minutes, I'm sure Emma or Millercat (or any of HUKD's Oirish members) could post some examples of the insane price hikes they've had to pay for P&P compared to UK mainland prices.

Don't know if this is a standard charge, but when I added the racing grannies, the delivery price is £7.46 to NI. That's not actually too bad, that's only a few quid on top of their normal delivery.

EDIT - £29.98 when I add the powerizers...

I wasn't singling out GadgetShop but from what you say you're paying almost twice the price for the same (Fairly light) item when you live within the UK(whether you like it or not?).
That's the kind of difference I was pointing out to Gaia.

Back to the products. Do you think that these items are good value for money. Not voted on these as I am unsure what sort of qualtiy you're actually getting. I've bought a couple of things from iwoot which is a similar kind of supplier. The gear you get might be novelty and a bit unique however the reliability, quality and longevity of such products is always a bit.....er....naff?

My unbreakable and crash-proof polystyrene RC aeroplane was a good example of that. Lasted about 20 minutes before an inevitable crash and broke the nose off of the fuselage. Rubbish.

Another thing, do you really think anyone would really buy the chocolate fondue set for the original price of £40. I doubt it and that's why its in the sale.

Bit of a pessimistic view I know and I realise that HUKD is about price comparison and not quality opinion but I think these are important facts when buying products. Especially on line when you have no way of actually examining the goods.

Perhaps there is a way that HOKD can evolve some new element of the hot or not voting system that enables people with actual experience of a product to vote on its quality and useability. Not necessarily a full review but a quick vote. I don't know I'm just thinking aloud. Well through my keyboard. Am I banging on a bit?

I'll end it there.

But anyone who has knowledge of a product already has the ability to post with regards to it's quality, durability, etc....if a product is crap, few people will hold back from stating that &/or vote cold because of this.
The temp gauge is not just whether an item is cheap, it's all about value for money, both real & perceived.
With regard to the prices. RRP's are a joke....EVERYONE using HUKD KNOWS they're a joke & to take them with a massive pinch of salt. All people need to look at is whether they consider whatever the current 'offer' price is a price they are happy to pay. Feedback from other members can aid this decision, but as I say, this is already on the threads in individual posts.

LOLOL I am not promising your gonna get a great value product. In general I don't think these novelties are meant to last. Just fun things that are getting sold off cheaply. Thinking of buying the secretary in the office the bug hoover. She keeps calling me to despider her room! LOLOL
