  I wont debate the ins and outs of if a 24 month contract is worth it, however you can get this for £400 on Amazon.de, so it seems daft not to do that and a sim only deal

  What a bizarre comment.
  A lot of people get used to using a gadget (be it a phone, laptop or whatever) and don't feel the need to upgrade continuously.

  My Streak is near 2yrs old & can still hold its own...
  
  But not even considering the note as this gen offers nothing significantly better than the streak, for my usage thus far (maybe the note 2) although it is encouraging to see larger screened mobiles defying the 'looks like a brick' doomsayers & actually selling well. Dell could learn something here.

  Well, a bit of a geek and fashionista... Currently have SII and oldish Desire, tbh I count the days to my upgrade so I can get rid of the later. Desire was good at the time when I upgraded from Touch HD but seeing what SII can I don't want it even as a second phone...
