Gale's Lemon curd, 410g jar just 21p at my local Asda this morning. I thought I'd check the price of Tesco online & they're also selling it for 21p. This is cheaper than the Asda SmartPrice/Tesco Value prices.

I'm with you on this one. Did you know that Gales Lemon Curd is an anagram of Real Golden Scum?

Not being funny here but is this really a hot deal. If two items are selling at normal price in two different stores that kind of makes this a normal deal. Not voting cold cos I acknoledge it is cheap for what you are getting (although there is no guarantee of quality) but really.... Where will it end........

The price of this as been dropping over the last month or so. It's nearly a quid in our local co-op but I can buy 4 for less than a quid in Tesco & Asda.

I noticed though that the piles that I have bought have short dates. I don't know if it has short dates generally.

I used to live on this stuff when I was a kid, had Lemon Curd sandwiches every day at school. I used to have my sarnies in about 2 mins and then play football for an hour...thats whats wrong with kids today, they probably have their pie and chips passed to them by heir mums through the school fence then get out their gameboys for half an hour..... Curd for Kids!
