Gallo White Grenache Rose just £3.43 @ Sainsburys

This is a very good price for this very easy to drink wine. I'm sure it always used to be more expensive than the equivalent zinfandel but now aparently it's cheaper. There's lots of other cheap wine in sainsbury's at the moment but this is what i'd recommend as the best deal. Particularly good for a party (if you invite me).

Were I am to buy 6 bottles, I would prefer taking advantage of the 'Buy 6 bottles get 25%' off at Tesco which also works on reduced prices. There must be some good rose wine there I think.

Any good with spicy food?:)
Good deal though!

tesco prices seem to have gone up

There might be some good rose wines at Tesco, but this particular deal is for Gallo white Grenache rose..... this costs £ 5.48 in Tescos so therefore this is a better deal.

I thought they might.... there's still some bargains to be had though. ;-)

Love this wine and it's a great price! As for the question if it's nice with spicy food, I'd say it's nice with any food or even without! It's a very easy drinking tasty wine.

What's this like compared to Zinfandel?

Cool , Just need to get my car converted to run on it and I'm sorted ..... anyone know if an Audi would prefer white wine though or is rose okay ??
#12
This is a horrible wine, full of sugar. If you must go for a Gallo rosé, the Sycamore Canyon Syrah rosé is much better imo.

Depends if you are using sunflower or vegetable oil. Of course you may have upgraded it to run on extra virgin olive oil if you're really posh.

I love this wine, just a pity it seems to go rather fast from my glass

It depends on your personal taste. I think this is an easier drinking wine imo, but the Zinfandel is also a very nice wine. If I were to choose between them I would personally go for Grenache every time.

The gallo zinfandel is on offer instore at tesco, i picked some up on monday for £3.99 per bottle, then if you buy 6 you get 25% off, bringing it down to £3 per bottle-bargain.
I love both the zinfandel and the white grenache, so easy to drink.

I don't think so, this wine is very sweet (but very nice).
IMO a dry rose would be better suited for spicy food, e.g. Casillero Del Diablo.

That one isn't too bad either but I drank a bottle of that after a bottle of the white grenache and then its tasted like feet.

You've only got yourself to blame for contaminating your palate with the sugar soaked grenache... ;-)

I love all pink wine but this is particularly fine. I originally felt a bit put off by the cork rather than a screw top but then found it much easier when I wanted to set up the IV drip!
