Hot deal for me
#3
It doesn't look like an amazing deal to me. I went throughj the whole lot and nothing interested me on the PS3. Grid probably the highlight but already have it. Neither hot nor cold for me but thanks for the post.

I can never find a good price on SBK 09 PS3. Its on Xbox at £10. Not a great game but being a Superbike rider its good fun for me.
#5
not too much good stuff there.......on ps3 anyway.

already got grid, would have got Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution but its not for £10 on ps3.

others are below average or very old games.
#6
Minor point but Quidco is 0.5%

Poor ps3 selection. Usual Play 'not-actually-a-sale' fare.

aka: "Play's Everything That Was £9.99 Last Week" sale.

Play are not competitive in prices any more.

Company of heroes anthology - amazing price! In some stores the expansions are still around 14.99 stand-alone!

picked a few and priced them up elsewhere, play come up as more expensive for all of them, usual play sale!

I have to agree with the general sentiment regarding Play sales. Increasingly it just seems to be a case of taking a pile of low selling/old products, shaving a few pence off the price, and dropping them into the bargain bin.

I'm less enthused by Play sales than I've ever been in all honesty, nothing ever stands out as a bargain or a must buy.

A lot of the deals there are not deals at all. I baught the mirror's edge from blockbuster for £4.98, play are selling it for 10???? thats just one of them. Im not criticizing you m8, just talking about some of the deals on their. I actually like play.com but recently I baught 2 games from them and when they got to me, both of the games cases had holes in them and they were cracked, I mean ?????????

GRID for a tenner seems like a bargain to me. Hot.
#15
Its a play sale. which is not really a sale.
#16
As I said before all they do is get aload of stuff bung it in one section round it off to the pound put it all in a sale and then wait for some mugs to go on there and buy it :-D

Not even remotely true.

However, the true points being made here are what we all already know. Play just keep re-branding their sales and either pricing everything the same as it was before, or in some cases even raising the price from the previous sale.

If you can be bothered to look, there are usually some extra things in there though. For example, the clothing seciton of the "Everything £5" sale has t-shirts in that were not in the sale before. I ordered two on Sunday.

I was talking generally. I used to buy loads from Play.com on a regular basis including cd's, games, electronics etc.

I've hardly bought anything from them in the past few months. Prices in general are much cheaper elsewhere.

As mentioned, their sales are just rebranded with pretty much the same old stuff as before, with a couple of new things thrown in for good measure.
