The 15% off for registering for the the Gap email expires on 30 Nov and the Quidco element seems to be only until 5 Dec when I assume it will revert to the normal 5%. Perhaps someone may be able to confirm?

With a bit of tinkering, I have managed to order a £89.50 cashmere hoodie (not to everyones taste I've been informed) for £53.25 including free shipping. If quidco tracks at 15%, this should take the spend down to about £45.26

Step 1. Currently 30% off most (if not all) Gap Sweaters 'for a limited time'.

Step 2. Register for their email to 'enjoy an exclusive 15% off your next purchase' (Expires 30/11)
https://secure-www.gap.eu/profile/info.do?cid=48755&mlink=57452,1963214&clink=1963214

Step 3. Free delivery if over £50 with code 'UKFREE50'

Step 4. Have a go at Quidco currently 15%, whereas TCB is 5.05%
(Expires 5 Dec)

Without Quidco:
(1-(0.70*0.85)*100)= 40.5% off

With Quidco:
(1-(0.70*0.85*0.85)*100) = 49.425% off

I will update if and when Quidco tracks for me. Hope this helps someone.

UPDATE (29/11, 15.57): Quidco has tracked the transaction as below.
"29 Nov 2010 GAP 53.25 7.99 tracked"

Thanks to 'Lol_is_stupid' for spotting the application to Banana Republic:
Same process as above but Step 1. uses the code 'UKGIFT' to get the 25% off everything.

Without Quidco:
(1-(0.75*0.85)*100)= 36.25% off

With Quidco:
(1-(0.75*0.85*0.85)*100) = 45.81% off

If Quidco tracks this is a very good find... Thanks op heat added

nice find, cheers

I've updated the post description but just to clarify, Quidco has tracked the transaction of £53.25 with £7.99 cashback. Therefore tracking at 15% as opposed to the 5% I suspected might be applied as is for 'Sale' items.

Please don't rely on any cashback but view it as an added bonus if it does come through!

Been looking for a really cheesy Christmas jumper for years. Something like rudolf hanging off of it. Anyone got any ideas. Don't see any on the Gap website.
#5
Great deal, Appreciate the effort OP.

Great find - I love those combination discounts. i've bought a couple of jumpers from gap before - they've always been good quality. Not like the cheap and nasty stuff from burton.
#7
Just ordered a bunch of stuff. Thanks
#8
Sweet!!! Prezzies for better half sorted!!!
#9
Cracking deal, thanks

Hot.
Same goes for their 'sister' company, Banana Republic

Don't want enough stuff to qualify for free shipping over £50...do you think it would work to order something else in addition, so I can qualify for free delivery, and then return the extra item?
#12
I couldn't complete my order - started going on a loop input ur card details then input billing details then same again and again and again
#13
Glad to see it's been of use to you all.

'Gratts', in terms of ordering more and returning:

"You can return unwashed and unworn Products bought in the UK on this Website by mail or to any UK store location...with valid identification within 30 days of your order date...shipping and handling charges paid on your original shipment are not refundable when you use our easy returns by mail or store."

Not entirely clear but I shouldn't imagine they'd charge you the £5 postage you should have paid if your remaining items came to less than the £50 - although if they did, you'd be in no worse situation than if you paid it now.

Have also just checked and 'Lol_is_stupid' (indeed!), you are correct, it would seem the same process is possible on Banana Republic except the intitial 30% off is 25% off instead but with the added advantage of being on EVERYTHING!

To summarise, ((1-(0.75*0.85*0.85)*100) = 45.81% off everything, with quidco.
Worth another thread or add it to this one?

Impressive maths skills. Thank-you for putting so much time and effort into your post.

Just off to have a look now. Might be slated for saying this, but at 25 I still feel a bit "young" for GAP. Too old for Topman mind. Haha.

Ordered 3 jumpers, for around £57.

If Quidco tracks, this will be a great saving.

Nice one BathEcon;)

Quidco just tracked....:p

if you get stuck in a loop of delivery address and payment details. Go to your account page and select your address as the default delivery address, then try the checkout again, it worked for me.

Cheers OP

I've signed up for the newsletter and got nothing back re the 15% discount. I was expecting an email. Am I missing something?

Forget that! I've just realised I must have registered some time ago but they didn't say I was already registered. I've just used another email account and got the code. Plonker!

Friends have told me it can take a little while to come though, although mine seemed to come through instantly. It may be worth entering the gap site from fresh and locating the "15% off in stores and online when you sign up." text just on the right of the pink Gap logo.

I can't remember where I saw that the 15% welcome bonus expires on 30 November but having just had a look at the site, it would seem that they are still offering it at the top of the page. Also, the one I originally received is valid until 13 January. Perhaps if anyone else is successful, they could let me know and I'll change the original post.
