It's weird how people say different things and recommend different products.

Last year i used B+Q 's own brand, not great, the year before i used Ronseal and it was terrible,i even complained to them and got nowhere,i was painting it green over green and it wasn't covering in one coat.

This year i'm trying Cuprinol, ive painted 3 panels today.

I wonder if this will be any better because after a couple of months with all the others i've tried the colour fades and comes off in the same places every year!

i have used Cuprinol last year and it is still looks like a new. someone asked me last week whether i started in Apr this year to paint these panels so you can imagine how they look.

then it might be your panel not holding the colour!

probably the panels themselves. those horizontally overlapping fences? really rough and loose, probably just sinks rights in then leeches away.

The garden is enclosed on 3 sides with fence panels(waney lap i think it's called)and it's only on one side where in parts the colour comes off,i'm presuming that's where it gets hit the hardest with the weather,so far so good with the Cuprinol, seems to have gone on better than the Ronseal.
