Just ordered 2 might keep one of the games and the other to flea bay. Cheers OP great find. :D
#5
It might be that it means the game uses Wii motion plus, but I'm going try anyway.
#6
Dont think these will come with the motion plus. Argos are notorious for incorrect descriptions
#7
Can anyone confirm these come with motion plus? Gonna go to my local store tomorrow to collect.
#8
Would be interested to hear if these do come with MP - someone report back please!
#9
Will collect mine later on.
#10
I'm guessing Argos have missed the word 'compatible' off their description

Wow, in that case hot - off to try and reserve one for collection later. :)
#13
I have just collected mine and can confirm it does indeed come with the motion plus attachment. However apparently it is still coming up on the system as £24.99, so make sure you reserve it and print out the confirmation email before collecting.

Back at £25 at my local Argos, and they wouldn't honour the reservation at £13 :(

Technically the site says "Current selling price valid until 14/12/2010" so they should honour it. What excuse did they fob you off with? I was told the offer finished yesterday, but as I reserved it yesterday they would honour it.
#16
Argos in the Manchester Arndale WILL honour the price of £12.99. They will check your reservation (print on off & take it with you) and they will check online.

Bargain & heat!!!!!!
#17
I'm gonna give it a go. Thanks.
#18
I can't find this game for sale anywhere else.

Neither Play or Amazon even recognise the title.

if it says on the site "Current selling price valid until 14/12/2010" then make sure you print that whole page off too to show the store - because then surely they must honor it as the above date means the offer is still valid till 14/12/2010. don't take any excuses, like the offer finished yesterday :p

i also picked two up this morning girl said because i reserved it yesterday the price is 12.99 thanks
#21

I'll head into store on my way home from work.
I asked my son to collect on his way back from college, so he had nothing but the reservation text message to back him up. I now have a couple of printouts to show them.
#23
Collected mine. I asked them to check first to see if it had the motion-plus so she checked the website, where it is showing at £12.99, then tried to charge me £24.99 (price on their system) then immediately adjusted it to £12.99. YES the wii motion plus is attached.:D
#24
i only need the motion plus, is the game sealed separate from m/plus
#25
Yep the game is sealed, im gonna sell one of the ones i got on ebay.

Got mine :) (actually, decided to get 2 - seeing as how I knew I'd be holding up a queue of people while arguing with the cashier about it (_;) )
As it happens, they tried fobbing me off with "the prices all change on a Wednesday morning" - that's when I produced my webpage print out showing the valid until 14/12/2010 info. (Thanks NC23 & others for the tip)

Just picked up one I reserved earlier today for £12.99 by taking a print-out of my reservation email to the customer services desk.

We have a couple of Argos branches locally, and the customer services assistant told me that she'd had a lot of cases where people had been refused a reserve price at the other branch, despite it being Argos policy that all reserve prices will be honoured.

It used to be their policy that the price of the product on the date of collection was the price paid, but I (also) demonstrated my reserve price with a printed copy of the final confirmation screen in order to have the £24.99 price overridden at the till.

Checks online...

In fact it is still the case:

4.3 The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following two exceptions:
a) For products reserved online for store pick up or any other reservation service the price you pay is the price in store on the day of collection.
b) While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

Just reserved and got one in Grimsby.
Took print outs with me.
The item comes up on till as "Wii motion plus" no mention of game.
Showed printout with offer valid until 14/12/2010 and supervisor ammended price.
Best take your evidence to benefit from this one.
Thanks to OP

Its a good price - but is the game any good.
There seems to be no online reviews for it.

There are hardly any games that use the motionplus anyway , so its not like its really worth buying just to get the motionplus.
#33
Thanks I got 2 earlier, bit of hassle until they looked on the net then the manager override the price

Well considering typical prices for motion plus are £15-20, getting a game with the motion plus for less than that is a good deal. I have no idea if the game is good, though.
#35
Camberley store had no problem at all, it came up as the Wii Motion Controller through the till at £24.99 but chicky on the till called over the manager without me having to say anything and he changed it without looking twice.
#36
you don't even need a printout, just mention its £12.99 on their website, they will have to honour it.
#37
If you're looking for a pair of MotionPluses and don't won't the hassle of fighting with the Christmas rabble in Argos and then getting shot of the two games which don't seem to exist on the UK market so may be a pain to trade, this is a much better deal at £20.48 delivered...

Bizarre, the assistant (and her manager who had to override the price) were both adamant that the current policy is to honour the reservation price. Another manager at a different branch confirmed something similar a few weeks previously where I reserved something on the last day of the weekly offer cycle, to find the price had gone back up when I went to the store the following day. He honoured it without issue, and again said they "get a lot of that."

Sounds like the issue is confusing for the individual stores themselves, and they have different ideas as to what the actual policy is.
