I've been after one of these for my wife's Christmas present. She goes running every morning and it basically has sat nav built in and a heart monitor so measures exactly how far you've run and calories burnt etc. rather than counting steps.

I had ordered it from Amazon for £130 which was the best price I could find. However, they let me down badly by changing the delivery from next day Prime (I ordered on 17th Dec) to 31st Dec - what a joke, thanks for nothing Amazon. So I had to find an over the counter supplier. Argos wanted £199 for it. But then I found it in Halfords for £154.99 - an extra £25 on the Amazon price but still not bad for a last minute purchase.

However, they've classed it as a bike accessory so it is included in their 3 for 2 deal so I've reserved 3 for £309.98, collecting this afternoon from Halfords. I can then knock the other two out for £110 each on Ebay and still be cheapest on there by a mile. making the last one about £100 all in.

OK, not the greatest or easiest deal in the world but if you are in the market for one of these and are confident selling on Ebay, it is the cheapest out there. Most importantly, the item is in your hand today if you can find a store with three in stock (I had no problems.) Thanks Halfords - you saved Christmas!

That is a *cracking* price for three of them...sadly me and all my mates have them now, otherwise we'd be going thirds for sure. As you say, there's *easy* money to be made on ebay using this deal...
I was very lucky and got one of these when Tesco were clearing online stock - I got it for abuot £80. Would recommend it if you're a serious runner, you get stats on everything. It's almost as fun as the running to look at all the numbers.

The inbuilt mappnig is rubbish so is the Garmin software, but have a fish around the net and there are plenty of options for loading your routes onto Google maps ... lovely.
£80 is about right for the product!
Voting cold for me - I purchased 5 or 6 of these from PC World about 5mths ago for £39.99 each
You used to be able to buy a loaf of Hovis for sixpence years ago. Not really relevant though if you need a loaf of bread today...

It doesn't matter how long ago that was, it was clearly a clearance price and this is clearly the best price you are going to pay NOW for a few of these, voting cold for that reason is totally wrong - unless you are a) willing to sell your 5 or 6 Garmins for £39.99 each or b) you know somewhere else still selling them at this price?......

Oh wait, you're not and you don't.

How did you work that out? £80 is an absolutely fantastic price.

Best gadget I've bought, although it doesn't beep any more - think too much sweat got into it.

Can't you remember how many?

Never seen them anywhere near that price.

"Voting cold. 7 turkeys weighs more than 3 chickens."

Vote cold, give an *entirely unrelated* fact as justification. Nice.
ha-ha mine was £37.97 from PC world.... and I even just bought one :D anyway... a good bit of kit :) and A good price if you can tag along with two others. But I would recomend 2nd party programs for you routes ETC.. the Garmin one is ok but I find lacking.
This seems like a good deal if you are after the watch.

I have recently took up power walking to gain a basic level of fitness lose and lose some weight before taking up jogging after a long sabbatical. I used a basic pedometer until I inadvertently ran over it (don't ask). I have a Nokia 5800 smart phone and did a search for a pedometer app, what I found was an absolutely amazing free piece of Software that uses the GPS part of the phone to track your route pretty much the same as this watch. Do a search for Nokia sports Tracker, it works on the majority of modern Nokia phones.

You can upload all the data to the Sports tracker website and also share it with friends or basically anybody who looks at the website( don't worry you can choose to keep you routes private), you can also do a live share so your buddies can trace your route live, I have used it tonight on my wife's phone to track her on a long car journey, to make sure she has arrived safely in this bad weather.

Sorry to hijack this post but thought that the people reading it may be interested in this software.
great find .cheapest at this time .cheers:santa:

If you don't want the hassel of off loading on ebay, and don't need it for xmas day, it's available for £125 from bite sized deals.
Whatever you do, do not order from bite size deals! :x:

They took my order for one of these nearly 4 weeks ago, and still nothing.
Still trying to get a refund
If you have an adroid phone, just install mytracks. Works perfectly.
