Seems much cheaper than other sites which are £50+ for this, also the Europe one is available for £29.99

I've used this on my N82, N95 and now my N96. It's a fantastic bit of software that turns your mobile into a GPS. You can use the internal GPS in your Nokia N95 or 96.

If you have free data use like myself you can add Garmin Online which will give you a FREE two month speed camera database. There's also pictures of local sights to your location that you can then just get driving directions to. Add to that a garmin version iof google that adds even more POI's than it already comes wth and you've got a really uselful little tool on your phone.

Oh and I haven't even mentioned the live traffic as well. Brilliant.

Here's hoping the iPhone version ships soon.

Are Garmin even working on that?
#4
Waiting for mine to arrive - excited by all the free features which Tomtom charge for in their new tomtom live devices.

How good is the live traffic??

You are prompted for an activation key with the 'free' version. Plus you do not get traffic updates. At this price it's worth a purchase if you use it often, which I do.

anyone know if this is compatible with the Nokia 6220 ?
#9
How often do Garmin update their maps do you know? Is it possible to upgrade the map on the sd card when a new one is released?

All you need is to put the card id into a program to generate an activation key for you :p

Could anyone clarify; would loading this allow you use Tomtom on an N95 without an additional gps unit, i.e. allow Tomtom access to the builtin gps?
#16
This will work on an N95. Its what I use.
#17
Just to clarify.

Is this £16.99 one off payment?
Is the routing free?
Can you transfer this to another SD Card?

Thanks
#18
forget that, misread this completely :-)
#19
there are so many free copies of this on torrent sites which is probaBly why they are trying to cut their losses. There is an update u have to download off their site for free to get it to work with internal gps. it wont work with iphone but aalso not on other phones that dont have sd slots....though the torrent site version gets around this for internal hard drive only phones. at 16.99 buy it....not as good as tomtom but work n96 unlike tomtom
#20
So it won't workon the 8GB N95 then as it doesn't have a slot for SD cards?
#21
it works on n95 8gb but you should unlock device by keygen

I want to know this also.

Does the new update mentioned by someone else on here fix the internal GPS issues XT has with the 6220?

Does this software run wholly off the phone without the need for subscriptions or ringing out?

Also why is this now expired?

Can you transfer the software to a larger memory card?
#24
Garmin website is quite confusing. There are 2 questions under FAQ, one suggests you can't copy to another memory card however another suggests you must install to your own memory card.

Question: Can I transfer maps to a larger memory card from my Garmin Mobile XT card?
Answer:
No, the mapping on the pre-programmed Garmin Mobile XT card is locked to the internal serial number of that specific card. If you attempt to copy the mapping onto a larger card, you will be asked to enter an activation code which you will not have.

Question: Can I install Garmin Mobile XT on the internal memory of my phone?
Answer:
No, the Garmin Mobile XT software is designed be loaded to a memory card in order to be installed to a Palm, Symbian, or Windows Mobile Pocket PC device. It is strongly recommended that you use a 256 MB card or larger, even though the specifications states that the required minimum is 128 MB.

Some files are transferred to the internal memory of your phone, the majority of Mobile XT system and application files stay on the card. If you already installed the Mobile XT software, do not delete or reformat the card. The Mobile XT software only runs if the memory card is in the unit because the majority of the application resides on the card.
