GARMIN nüvi 55 LM WE 5" GPS Sat Nav - with UK, Western Europe & ROI Maps & Carry Case

I contacted PC World and they confirmed that this is the version with free lifetime UK, ROI and Western Europe Maps

This is the cheapest I can find it new online with the free lifetime maps (as above) and free carry case. Cheapest previously listed seems to have been for £89.99

It is listed as a discount of £120 off original price of £199 and is offered at a cheaper price than the non Western Europe Maps version.

I'm afraid I couldn't see any end date for the offer, so I'd presume it may be a black friday deal, but maybe phone to be sure?

A very quick post (click on link for full specs)... as I'm off to collect my reserve and collect...

Edit: Currys are showing as home delivery available at time of posting... but PC world is showing as reserve and collect only

Edit 01/12: still showing active on website today

Please don't vote cold without explaining why.

i havent vote but probably because is roughly same price as a 7" android tablet that has gps?
#3
I was surprised as the same item for £89.99 got some heat..... so just wondered why my first votes were all cold...

Different model... but not sure what the differences are in practise

I did consider getting a tablet... but then I'd have to find some free software and buy a case and a suction stand thingy... and I wasn't sure if it would need data for GPS? and do they update as fast when you're in motion? or are they at the mercy of the phone signal? Over all I thought it better to use a dedicated appliance.

BTW... doesn't diminish how good this deal is, just because you would choose another option... kind of like someone posting an xbox deal and you voting cold because it isn't a Wii

LM means lifetime maps, LMT lifetime maps and traffic reports,

the LMT version is £134.99.... handy, but not quite such good value....

Hello, thanks for posting.
Is this like the one Aldi had on offer?
#12
same except for the Traffic updates... this one doesn't have them, but the Aldi one did. If it wasn't expired I'd have gone for the Aldi one at £10 more... but this is the best deal for Lifetime Western Europe Maps without Traffic.

Oh, and this has a free case...

I was thinking about buying this one or the one with traffic update.
I think I will need a connection for the traffic update right? So I will also have to pay for the data plan?

I don't know for certain... but according to this thread you don't need to link it to your phone... it updates automatically?

Great find. Deal still going. A decent SAT NAV and free carry case for a cheap price and cheapest around. JOHN LEWIS do not price match that is how cheap the product is.
