To get map updates for the rest of the product's lifetime it will cost you about £90 -

Voted hot, I got a Garmin in my car and it works a treat!

In the link I posted before the product codes dont match the one posted originally. I am on my mobile and can't seem to edit the previous post.

With satnav free on all the Android phones, etc these things can only continue to fall in price. What was a bargain yesterday will seem expensive tomorrow.

Good deal though if you really need one now. Never used a Garmin but they seem to be rated second only to TomTom.

In my experience with Sat Navs (admitedly I'm know expert), both Garmin and TomTom are pretty good compared to the competition. I've found that the Garmin devices are easier to use and ultimately more reliable than the TomToms. The TomToms have more bells and whistles, but if I had to make a choice today, it would be a Garmin.

I thought Tom Tom were good, then I experienced their appalling customer service, and switched to Garmin. I find the Garmin far superior to the TT.....so much easier to use, and far more useful features on them. The Garmin display is much better too.

"[From Garmin] These are systems that have been returned to Garmin from either an end user or dealer that may or may not have been used. Many of the units Garmin gets back are actually found to be working fine, but end users have returned them for any number of reasons."

You must be one of these end users then. I have the 205w, very quick to pick up a satellite and never put a foot wrong.

Do they store maps though? I thought you needed 3G for them to work...

Can't find the 265T model on their website.
Not worth the heat if this is for the 205W model.
