Don't know how it compares but this is a bargain.

People were grabbing the i3 when that was 99.99 and this is streets ahead:thumbsup:
#5
The main problem with the NAVMAN is that it doesn't allow you to select 'via' routes.
#6
Reviews on Amazon seem good and it's £50 cheaper than Amazon. Voted hot.

Is this Uk or Europe mapping?
#8
What Sainsburys was this in?

None in the stores I have been to today.
#9
I have tried 4 stores in the midlands now and none have sany stock.

Lady quoted "only generally have sat nav systems in at Christmas".

Another said "only got a tom tom unit in".

Would be a GREAT deal if we could get it!!

Did the OP actually buy one of these?

Might have been for sale in the larger Sainsburys stores that were called Savacentres and have the full range of nav, clothing and homewares.
#12
One of the stores I called was a Savacentre - one of the biggest in the country and they had none "only TomTom".

Has anyone got one? I can find no evidence of Sainsburys selling these for £99.
#13
I have just purchased one at £99. Seems a right Billy bargain to me. Thanks to the OP. Might only be available at a few larger stores, have a ring around first before making the journey.
#14
Sheffield Archer Road had a blank space where they should be (price at £99) and none in stock, Sheffield Crystal Peaks only sell the Tom Tom One at £179.99.

Yes, we've gathered that.

But where can we get one? Please tell us UKads or freddysmith.
#18
Should be UK and Ireland mapping only. Need C550 for europe wide - worth the extra £80 if you do.

I don't want to give away my location, Just try and ring a large store near you. I was told at first attempt their only in stores with an electrical department, I then asked them to give me the number of the closest store with one and then rang them. The guy said he would check in the warehouse, phoned me back and put it aside for me to pick up. It all depends how far you are willing to travel if any are in stock.

I'm more than happy to say where I found (lots) of stock... the new large store in Maidenhead... they have lots but do check your box, I got back to the carpark (it takes ages to get back to your car) only to check my box and find it missing the sat nav... I think I had the display box as they have them locked away, they happily switched it for a new one.

The electricals sections is on your left through the clothes section.

Good luck... they had at least 8 left after I picked up mine...
#29
PS The maidenhead store is open until 23:00 tonight if the website is corect.

Yes i did.. I bought mine from the Hove store one of many hundreds of stores in the United Kingdom.
#31
This is a very good price. I've had a Navman, TomTom and Garmin and have to say that I think Garmin's are best.

Yes we know it's a good price, but finding one is a problem for most people.

I would probably have to drive over 150 miles just to find one in stock, so it's not worth it in my opinion, as the extra cost in fuel would offset the saving I could get postage free online.

Haven't tried it yet, but Hempstead Valley might be worth a shot as they have a large gps range.
#37
great deal.....but can't find it anywhere
#38
Last time I looked at Hempstead Valley the nav display units were empty for Garmin systems. Seems like this may be a sell off of old stock in stores which still have them.

I got one of these last night from Apsley Mill. Went into my local store, who don't stock it. Helpful guy at customer service got the item up on his monitorm and who according to the system had stock. He called this neighbouring store and they had one left and kept it for me for 15 minutes till I turned up to buy it. Go into your local and find out nearest stockist. That is the easiest and best way. There were about 60 or 70 Sainsburys on the screen that were stockists.

I rung up my local (Lordshill, Southampton) store last night but they were out of stock. The helpful assistant suggested calling the Bitterne store across town as they were one of these "homeware" type stores.
Lo and behold they did have one, it was put to one side and I picked it up this morning.
But I didn't ask if they had any more in stock though.
