Celebrated horror genius Garth Marenghi introduces his long-lost television project: a haunting medical drama set in Romford.

The best-selling writer is already known to hundreds as the creative force behind such classic chillers as The Ooze (can water die?), Afterbirth (a mutated placenta attacks Bristol) and Black Fang (rats learn to drive).

Darkplace was originally filmed in the 1980s and has since earned a cult reputation as one of the most terrifying and radical television programmes ever made.

Even now, Garth warns that the show, which he describes as an effort to radicalise men's minds, may prove 'too subversive, too dangerous, too damn scary'.

Comedy genius. Mind you, there are a lot of people who just don't 'Get it' at all. Suprised we haven't had any comments of that type here yet!

Oh god here we go again with the "we're so hip and cool cos we get the joke" mob this "cult comedy" was thus named as it was only funny to people who believed that aliens were their long lost ancestors. What a bunch of cults they were!

I actively avoid the likes of the obsessives that post on Cook'd And Bomb'd, knowing how to SPELL that site is as far as I go.

I like it because it's funny.

The best bit is in the first episode when you see someone throw a cat on the set, or when hes driving around with his adopted killer eyeball son. Classic
#18
My favourite moment was when he kicked the 'locked' door in!!

This is in the 5 for £15 at dvd.co.uk.
#19
first episode where sanchez walks into the room with rik daglass on the floor with blood everywhere and a decapitated corpse.

pauses for a moment and says. "I'll get a mop"

Already bought this about a month ago on a similar deal - so funny, clever and massive re-watch value too!!

I love the credits with the exploding ambulance where Dagless escapes just in time, whilst carrying the baby in his arms - capped off with a front flip to safety - - against some quite catchy 80s-esq sync intro music.

LOL.
