Wow, that's a good looking bike for £150! And road tyres as well... perfect for leisure or commuting! HOT!!

+Rep added, good spot!

And just realised this is your very first post - good work!!

"Wingra"

A steal at £150 - hot.

looks like a great bike for the money. I'm still sulking 'cos after trying several bikes recently (like the Diamondback for £110 form Go Outdoors) I've realised I need at least a 22" frame!

Paid a £50 deposit to get one delivered to local store so I can try it anyway 'cos it's too good a deal to miss!

Looks good but I don't know enough about bikes. I'm 6ft tall so is 21" the right size for me?

No disc brakes and no suspension. This is their boggo model. Why is it a hot deal?
#11
Bought it as I got shafted afew days ago on a carrera subway which wasnt the frame size it was listed as. Sold a 20" and low n behold once it arrived it was an 18" which is too small for me being 6`2. Anyway Im selling the subway if anyones interested, its basically brand new and the carrera sub 1 08 model.

#17

#18
Thanks, glad I saw this been looking for a new bike for spring. Get 5% on Quidco too btw.

#22
Got myself the 21". Should be fine as I'm 6'1.

Perfect for the season, and my commute to work. Yay!
#23
Yep, all gone.. booo...
#24
Absolute steal!

This is effectively a Trek with a different badge, and for little more than the garbage supermarket bikes that keep getting posted on here. Super hot deal.
#25
Good deal for a Gary Fisher general road/tow path bike. Pity it didn't last longer.

Much better than those death contraptions from the local supermarket/catalogue stores.

I purchased a claud butler entry level from go outdoors in Feb - good basic bike to get around on for around the same price while it was on sale.
#26
That picture and the spec don't match up (spec says Aliveo rear-mech, its clearly a superior Deore on the picture). Either way its a very good spec bike for the price - why would you want disc brakes or suspension on a hybrid?

Suspension adds weight and reduces pedalling efficiency so not needed on a hybrid bike. Rim brakes are more than adequate on what is essentially a road bike, and again disc brakes add unnecessary weight. Suspension is only really needed when the going gets rough and disc brakes just keep on working when covered in mud so great on a mountain bike. Either of these on a hybrid bike would be more of a fashion statement. The money saved on not putting these on this bike has been spent on great components elsewhere. Definitely a hot deal.

Thats all good advice, less weight = more speed, all gone anyway

Would have been a great deal if Evans didn't phone me yesterday to say that the bike I ordered and got receipt for was discontinued and no longer available. Phoned the head office and they were very nice and offered me a GT Transeo for the same price - which was quite a result.
#30
Same here... I'm looking through the website now to see what I'm going to ask them...
#31
And they gave me a GT Transeo 4.0... Wouldn't let me have the Trek 7100 but I'm quite happy...
#32
Picked up mine today from Evans Cycles at X-Scape Glasgow (cycled out though the shopping centre!). It's a great bike, much lighter than the cheap mountain bikes I was considering before. Thanks OP!
#33
Glad to hear you got yours... Hopefully I'll get my replacement early next week...
#34
Has anyone received their replacement GT Transeo ?
Unfortunately, I just seem to be getting messed about.
I phoned their main office today, as bike was supposed to be sent to my house, but has not arrived.
Main office said it had been shipped to my nearest store.
Phoned store who seem to have great difficulty answering the phone. No bike at the store. Said they would phone me back, but then didn't.
The company has fairly bad reviews at reviewcentre.com and I am seeing why.
