Forgot to add that also includes a 4 year garauntee and dead pixel garauntee as well.

VERY quick service as well. Ordered on Weds, mine due today!

I had one of these a while back when they were reduced to a similar price at Tesco Direct. The monitor was great except for some terrible problems with inverse ghosting which was so noticeable I ended up taking it back for a refund and got the Dell 2407WFP instead (but for more money). Not sure if its something that can or will be fixed by firmware updates.

@ old-bugga - It looks like that Dell monitor you linked to is the standard monitor version and not the one that has all the extra inputs and video processor. Still a fantastic monitor and price though.

well, for the specsit has it's a good price. but specs aren't everything. so i will see how this turns out.

Here is the old thread link

The price has been like that for ages, due to the invest ghosting issues complained by many owner.
The price looks good few months ago, but with so many good priced 24" panel these days, the fateway monitor price looks ordinary now. But still if you are not a gaming person, and will use the monitor mainly for graphic/photo editing, words processing (also with pivot) & web surfing, the monitor should serve you fine, also those comopsite videos inputs are added value.

I've had one since September.

Maybe I've got lucky but the inverse ghosting is rarely noticeable to me and only in really fast moving colourful games and only if i'm looking for it.

Mine does suffer from the backlight bleed in the corners though - which can be annoying in a dark movie.

You cannot compare this to the £300 E248WFP Dell. That Dell is a TN Panel with poor viewing angles and poor connections.

If you need a monitor with additional inputs and good viewing angles - this is ideal. I have both my Wii and Xbox 360 connected via the 2 component, 2 computers by VGA and DVI and there's still 2 spare inputs.

Back in September I paid £260ish (after various discount codes and some quidco). It was an absolute steal back then - now its still a good deal.

But if you just want 24"s of monitor for your PC and are sitting directly in front of it, I agree. The E248wfp Dell is the way to go.
